Hey, Kalamadea. A bit of a word about Volvagia.

It's basically a Chinese-style dragon, what with its *incredibly long* body. If it, all of it, burst forth from a hole and charged forward, it would look like a Wiggler from the Mario franchise. There's a good reason why it primarily fought by bursting forth from lava holes and either going directly vertically or only sticking its head and arms out.
