I hope it's not too late to submit a character, I'm still working on this

Name: Finn The Mighty

Class: Fighter, Folk Hero

Abilities: Finn is an excellent swordsman and archer. His specialty is the longsword and longbow. He has had many encounters with terrible beasts and evil warriors and has overcome them. His prowess in combat is incredible and Finn can pull off maneuvers that make him a great asset in battle.

Alignment: lawful good

Personality: Finn is a good person who will try to think up solutions that will not lead to needless suffering. He is very driven and will not give up on his quest and things that he sets his mind to. Even though he likes the company of people, Finn prefers to be out in the wild where he can see the beauty of nature. Despite his good nature, he does have a deep desire for revenge against the goblin hoard that destroyed his village. 

Inventory: an adventurer's kit, chainmail shirt, a longbow and a quiver of arrows and a longsword.

History: he was born in a woodland village where he had dreams of being a great warrior and he spent many days training in the arts of combat. When he was sixteen, he had become a hero to his village when he had slayed a troll with a incredible shot to the head with his bow, and the people of his village were in awe of his great skills. But all of the praise would change when a horde of goblins attacked his village and slew most of his people. He had managed to escape with some of the villagers to help them get away from the horrible battle, but he had wished he could have stayed and fight. With his village destroyed, Finn set on a quest for revenge in the hopes that he could see justice and blood for his village. He now wanders the land seeking adventures that would help him on his quest.
