Power(s): Elena has the ability to alter and warp the reality around her. This effect is temporary and generally she can only reach a certain distance from the focal point (herself). When she leaves the area everything reverts to true reality. She develops migraines from using her powers, if she continues to use them repeatedly without rest she can potentially black out from the migraines.

Appearance: Elena is an older woman however she doesn’t look much older than 30. She is slim and willowy in build with shiny long black hair usually worn loose. Her eyes are so vivid a green that many think she uses contacts. She dresses a bit anachronistically preferring simple dresses of a single color, long skirts, high neckline, and long sleeves. If she feels a dress is not appropriate she will dress in well tailored pant suits that also cover most of her skin. She does this as she has tiny green scales in patches all over her body. The more she uses her abilities the more the scales spread; she knows intuitively she will eventually be covered with scales and branded a freak but she has a hard time remembering this in the heat of the moment. 

Personality: Elena is quite pleasant most of the time. She doesn’t have much of a moral code at all though. Sympathy is fairly unknown to her, only if its been a long time…months…since she has used her powers does she ever have such an emotion. She is cold and logical about everything she does—at least by her reckoning. She will not tolerate anyone betraying her, or trying to. The more she uses her powers the less she values human life and the more she crosses the line to sociopath. She doesn’t get any “joy” out of killing, though killing often eases the pain caused by the use of her powers. She has tremendous headaches which grow in power and intensity the more she uses her power. They make her short, waspish, and considerably more dangerous as she knows the only way to alleviate the pain is to kill. 

History: Elena comes from a wealthy family though her parents and siblings are all dead now. With her wealth Elena never had to suffer the indignities and injustices of life in the slums. Indeed with her family’s wealth they were allowed luxuries and freedoms that others were not. When her family was all gone Elena used the family fortune to find more fortune for herself. She realized the value that some items had, the rarer the item and the more danger involved in getting it the better the value. So she set up a business as an elite agent of “trade.”

She was over 30 when she discovered her powers, and the first time she used them it frightened her so much that she didn’t use them again for nearly 2 years. Eventually, however, she started to use her abilities on purpose as the world changed and she needed an edge to help deal with it. She noticed a few things when she did so. The first was that the scales that covered her body seemed to spread the more she used her powers. The second was that the more she used her powers the younger she looked. As time progressed she used her abilities more and more, and she learned that there were others with her abilities, and they were in high demand by the remaining world governments. She did not wish to give up her freedom, her wealth and she took to running from capture. She is already mad, however, and often homicidal. She has no real loyalties save to herself. As she has no friends and family what does she have left to protect except herself. She is growing more and more addicted to using her powers, anything that gives her the opportunity to do so is worth looking at. 

Other: Elena needs help desperately though she would never admit it. The more she uses her powers the more she wants to and the more she uses them the worse her headaches become the worse her headaches become the more sociopathic she grows.
