> Couldn't the Nazerene's bypass the river though and maybe take ships stolen or built in Leona? Just asking not meaning to pry, curious is all Carrying boats all the way from Leona would be impractical for an army that size. They couldn't land North of the Golden Snake through the sea because the Sea of Storms is too rough for a large fleet. All the forests are south of the Blue Snake near Galilee so they cant make any boats on the spot as there isn't enough wood nearby. So crossing at the ford is the only option to approach the city. > We'd all have key roles yes, but we may not abide by what the Sycophant wants. Cause if you really think about it all any our characters could say screw it and open the gates to the city. Could be the captain getting tired of it, the mercenaries wanting more cash, priests claiming that the gods told them too, or the rouges just wanting to see how interesting it'd get. Because no matter how loyal or how much cash is passed along, everyone has a breaking point sooner or later. A clash of Money vs Religion vs Loyalty, its a mind screw. Also the characters are free to respond in whatever way that they see fit whether they chose to listen to the Sycophant or not and whether to join the expedition to defend the ford or stay within the city. I plan to make it a full on rooftop brawl with each faction apprehending seperate groups of assassins.
