I have to agree with Twisted Sun. It's [i]possible[/i] that a few thousand people managed to find some planet in the middle of nowhere and went dark so the Reapers didn't find them. A race would need at least a 1000 people in order to have any chance of re-population (And there would be some inbreeding at that) otherwise it would slowly die out after all these years.

What exactly were you planning for combat before and what changes did you have in mind?
