Marian was so lost in her own thoughts that she didn’t realize her inbox was exploding on itself. Clicking on the first one, she thought it was something to do with her situation but instead it was about…. Robert? Robert Locksley coming back to the branch?! WHAT?! Her eyes expanded as she nearly threw herself out of her seat to look closer at the email. There wasn’t much information other that he was invited to return to the firm for some unknown reason. She, like everyone else, was out of their seats and nearly hanging outside of their offices looking at the group that had already surrounded Robert. Half of her was happy to see that he was back; simply because his firing seemed unreasonable. But at the same time she was annoyed with the fact that he was back, now she’d have to deal with more of his bullshit. And the mixed emotions were easily read on the young blonde’s face. “Mister Locksley,” Jason Taylor said making the crowd parted for his arrival. “Come with me young man. We have a lot to discuss. Everyone get back to work.” He said in a harsh tone. “We’ve got a lot to do and very little time to do it in.” With that everyone dispersed as Jason began to lead Robert towards his office. When they arrived, Jason told him to wait outside for a moment. In that moment, Edward came out of the office. The young lawyer giving Robert a welcome back smile before starting around the corner to go down the hallway; only to nearly run into Marian who had been following the two men. “Marian.” Edward said with a bit of a smile in his voice. “Edward what’s going on?” “Oh Robert’s going to help us track down Robin Hood. So…” The young man placed an arm against the wall, near Marian’s head as her back turned against it, finding herself slightly pinned. “I was thinking about last night. And I do think that the police are overkill from your father… so why don’t you let me walk you home. Maybe you could cook some dinner; we could break open a bottle of wine and discuss some things….” “I really don’t have anything to discuss. I told everything there is to tell to my dead and that’s that.” “Oh the Robin Hood thing… no I wasn’t referring to that…” Edward said brushing over the fact that he never asked if she was safe or okay. “I was referring to when we are going to start becoming more serious…” “I didn’t even realize we were a ‘something’.” She said in a slightly sarcastic tone before attempting to step away, only to find his other hand up against the wall, occupying her space to move. “Edward…” She said in a warning tone. This was not something she was okay with and it was obvious to that in her tone and even more obvious that Edward Taylor was ignoring it.
