1,000 km above orbit, Roman Colony World A-01 The sleek, unidentifiably hardlight Teynen jumped outside of Slip-space, its front shaft spun rapidly, and in front of this floated the Builder, in tow was a massive sphere of sparks and slight distortion. The Teynen's forward shaft slowed its spin. And its four long arms started to extend outward, the tips of the arms started to glow, and brigten. The arms started moving upward, downward, and sideward, carefully, intricately, the light streamed from the tips of the arms toward a portion of space in front of the Teynen, the space started glowing a white-blue light that kept getting brighter as the arms gracefully weaved the oscillations of the Electro-Magnetic Field called light. The mass of light grew slowly, larger and brighter. As the light expanded, so too did it move, it contracted and expanded, it seemingly shaped itself, first was its base, formed into a massive sphere, the sphere then expanded its sides to form corners, the light turning from a bright blue-white to something that was more native to space itself, and the stars. The material started changing color from its base, a dark orange hue. In front of the mass's base, blue-white light started to dance forward, for a time, they seemed like they were alive and aware of themselves, tendrils of bright light. A time afterward, the tendrils spiraled into each, creating different clumps of light. It expanded and extended until the tendrils became solid. And sharp. The color flooded the blue-white light, from base to the tips of its newly-"born" tendrils, once the color reached the ends, the space around the tendrils seemed to briefly distort, but revert back to its normal state shortly after. One of two Xurs was created and formed, within only a matter of minutes. The second mass of light now started creation, in the same period of time, before long, the second Xurs was created. The Congregation, Builder and his Teynen, and with the two Xurs following just behind the massive planet-sized distortion and sparking, they closed on to the planet, but abruptly stopped at 700 km from the world's orbit. The Congregation projected its presence unto the vacuum of space, into the lightwaves, the arcane atmosphere, and into the minds of those that were willing enough. Several decades of drifting through space in pursuit of wisdom, and they have perfected their first words. In the minds of many, in the light of the world, in the very arcanic existence of the world, ringed their/its voice. For all to hear: "We seek knowledge.
