"As for teaching you magic... it'd take quite a while for you to be as proficient as me, but... I'd be willing to give it a shot. Wish I knew where my staff went, though." He gestured for Zeetah to pause and turned to him. "You didn't happen to see it sitting around the alleyway, did you? It's not 100% necessary, but it does make spellcasting quicker and easier, which means a big deal when you've got a bunch of soldiers several inches away, staring you down with swords in their hands. If they were a little farther away, I could have flung a fireball at them before they got close, no problem."
