Alto's New Weapon - Part 3 of 3 Several hours after watching the movie… "Alright, if I de-power the defensive protocols, will this new one be able to run the first program?" Alto asked. "Only if the detached part turns back into energy first, emperor." Theo replied. "That’s not exactly ideal but it’ll do." Alto said as he continued to type line after line of code, reconfiguring the programming of his Bio-Weapon. The movie that Theo had shown him had explained that his race always sought out the person who had the most potential in terms of changing its programming. He had also found out that Theo could make more of his race, and in that Alto had seen a golden opportunity. Today he was going to fulfil his dream, and nothing was going to stop him. As he added the finishing touches to his program, he reached out with his right arm to grab a LAN cable to connect his arm to the computer. "Alright Theo, run the program as soon as you finish downloading it." He said as he plugged the Bio-Weapon in. "As you wish, emperor." Theo replied. Alto watched as the glowing circle on the back of his left hand pulsate softly, and the program he had just created on the StuCorp computers uploaded into the Bio-Weapon. Seeing on his computer screen that the upload had finished, he unplugged the cable and tossed it aside. "Program initialized." Theo began. He didn’t usually say anything when running a program, but this one was special and Alto felt it would’ve been a nice touch. "Establishing creation parameters, adjusting settings." Theo continued. "Creation initializing, stand by." Alto watched as his left arm rose against his will. The glowing circle on the back of his hand grew brighter as he witnessed the creation of a new weapon. He shielded his eyes with his right arm as the Bio-Weapon emitted a huge flash of light. When his vision cleared, floating above the palm of the Bio-Weapon was a metallic, shiny black orb. The Nucleus of whatever the organisms were, this was what his program had created. In the movie he had watched, he’d learnt that The Original was able to create more of itself in this way, and when he’d asked Theo about whether or not he could change what the new Nucleus would be like, the answer had gotten him excited. Now that he’d created it, he had to put it somewhere. And he knew the perfect place for it. Grasping it with his left hand, he pulled up the sleeve on his right arm and drove the black-steel orb right into his flesh. He wasn’t expecting the pain. He hadn’t been expecting the process to hurt, though in retrospect, he probably should’ve been expecting it. Theo had gone into his arm with no pain at all, but Alto had programmed the Nucleus to look a certain way instead of just converting the base material on its own. Basically, he’d set it to deconstruct and then reconstruct his arm into a spiffy new robot arm, except he hadn’t programmed it to be painless. He was now feeling his arm being ripped into tiny little pieces starting from the fingers. And he knew it wouldn't end until it finished at the shoulder. "Emperor!" Theo said weakly. Theo had drained his energy creating the new Nucleus, and on top of that Alto had disabled most of the defensive protocols, one of which also lessened pain, to make sure that both of his arms would have enough energy to fully power their offensive protocols. In retrospect, he was severely regretting that decision. He was already on the verge of blacking out, the only thing keeping him up were the protocols Theo hadn’t wanted to override which kept him from passing out. Theo said deactivating it might mean that it would stay off indefinitely, but that might’ve been a good thing in this situation. Humans were meant to black out for a reason, after all. He felt the reconstruction reach his elbow, meaning he was still only a little bit over half-way. "Theo!" Alto gasped out through the pain. "Let me pass out damn it!" "But emperor, we may not be able to reactivate it again!" he replied. "I know! Just do it!" "Yes emperor!" Suddenly, the black spots before his eyes multiplied, as he felt himself growing limp. His vision faded into darkness as his consciousness started to cut out altogether.

"Emperor!" Theo called to him. Alto’s mind snapped back to consciousness as he realized the pain had ended now. "Emperor, the construction has been completed!" Alto groggily sat up in his chair with a weary bleugh. That was an experience he didn't want to repeat. "Urgh…" He said, "That sucked." "The boot sequence should be starting soon…" Theo said. Suddenly, he heard another voice joining his mind. "Boot sequence initialized." The voice was seemed to be that of a very young girl for whatever reason. "Theo, why is the voice like that?" Alto asked weakly. "The Nucleus personality automatically adapts to you, emperor," he replied, "It's personality will become something you would want." "I wanted this?" Alto asked, but it wasn't really a question. "Known species detected, adapting defensive protocols, adapting personality sequence, adapting…" it continued. "I only ever used to want one thing, you know…" Alto said as he listened to the new voice. It was sort of nice to listen to he supposed, but what did that say about him? "What would that be emperor?" Theo asked. "Establishing organism uplink, other organisms found…" "I only ever wanted a rocket punch, Theo." Alto answered. "But that was a while ago, and now I have one." "Boot sequence completed. Constructor online." "And I named her weird too…" He said, groaning yet again. He lifted his new right arm so he could get a good look at it. He'd programmed it to juxtapose his left arm. His left arm was very sleek, the entire arm was divided into three segments; shoulder, forearm and hand, each one made of a single piece of blue-gray metal. It also had a glowing circle on the back of it, with a glowing line stretching from the bottom of it all the way to his shoulder. His right arm on the other hand, looked vastly different. It looked like it was made of black steel for one. It looked like something constructed, as if many parts had come together and it looked more like a machine. At least he hadn't stuffed up the appearance of the arm, but he'd sort of mistepped with all of the other aesthetics. And there was the pain, but he could live that. Pain was temporary, aesthetics lasted slightly longer. He supposed that's why the personality was automatically generated, because he forgot about it. ”Still, it should be functional...” Alto said to himself. "Hopefully." ((TL;DR Alto gets a new weapon (finally)! And no, you didn't miss the movie, it's just I can't finish it so I'm cutting it out.))
