Ruby stopped suddenly, hearing Adam approach her and command her to turn and put her hands up. "I'll speak to you later, Loki." She murmured, dropping the call without letting him reply as she turned to face the man who was meant to father the next line of super-soldiers. Looking around, she took note of another man who seemed to be edging closer to her bike which was good - it was fully weaponised and could be dangerous if he tried to do anything to it. Strangely, she felt the presence of a nearby missile which seemed to be stationary so she assumed someone was standing with a missile, for whatever reason that was. Turning slowly, she didn't put her hands up. Instead, she stared at him from behind the mask he couldn't see past. That seemed to stop him from edging any closer. Reaching up, she dragged her hair from the ponytail she had fixed it in and decided to capitalise on one of the Phoenix Suit's newer features. With a small flex of her powers, the suit suddenly began to slide back in on itself, exposing her barely-covered body underneath. The suit itself slid back on itself until it was a long piece of metal that traced her spine and down along her arms. "You're not going to shoot me Adam, stop waving that thing about." With a roll of her eyes, she reached behind herself and drew a small weapon that resembled something like a gun. She probably would have been gunned down if she didn't turn it against herself, placing the cold butt of the weapon just below her stomach. "In fact, you're going to call your lap-dogs off and walk back to where you came from." She smirked softly, rotating her head to watch him curiously as she padded a few steps closer. "Would you like to know why? It is a very curious reason but if you had a headpiece on, they would be screaming at you to stand down. You see, Adam, this weapon is a high-velocity punching round. At this positioning and angle, it will pierce my womb causing severe internal bleeding. My chances of survival will be around one hundred per cent but my chances of sustaining life-harbouring capabilities will fall to zero." "You're probably terribly confused so allow me to explain. Project Genesis was never shut down. If it was, I would have a kill-order on my person and I would be dead. Instead, I have a detainment order on my head. You're still alive and I'm still capable of carrying children so Genesis is not dead. The moment any of those changes, Genesis is destroyed and anyone involved is blacklisted. This includes you, your father and your mother." She smiled softly, reaching up with her free hand to gently run her fingers along his sharp stubble. "They can't risk something like that getting out. There would truly be an uprising then." Looking up into his eyes with her brilliantly blue ones, she sighed a little. "Imagine that, Adam: your beautiful, noble America would be destroyed." "Tell me, what were your plans? Were you intending to rape me to get the job done? To serve America as a true hero? God, maybe you could even sing Star-spangled banner while you did the deed." She was taunting him now, cruelly making him suffer with indecision - family or country?
