Uh... How to explain the current metagame...
Special summons. Special summons everywhere. The game shifted away from 'summon big monsters with big attack to punch for game' and moved to a more 'remove, negate, destroy' playstyle. Since monsters from the Extra Deck aren't shuffled into the main deck after being bounced from the field, bouncing/spinning cards back to the deck has become a lot more prevalent.
And then every deck floats for days so Raigeki came back. And then there's Qliphorts.
Oh, Qlis. They're tier 0 in the current metagame, able to consistently draw into the cards they need, search things out with Scout and slowly grind their opponent's resources into nonexistence. It's no fun to face those. At all.
