I saw it earlier. :( It's really horribly sad news and the world has lost a really creative, fun, and cool person. Everything I've heard about him indicates that he was a really good person and his creativity was shown through RWBY. I'd been meaning to catch up on it for a while and to hear this now is really saddening.

It is terrible, 33 is way too young, and yeah, everything I saw about him made it clear he was a really creative, passionate artist and a good guy.

Imma go rewatch some episode now. I think I may make Ridge's flight speed on par with Supes's, just for the trivial fact that I'd like for the two to have a friendly rivalry and race and stuff.

It was a huge blow when I heard about that on Tumblr while I was at school today, and I've always been a fan of Monty's works. He'll be remembered by many as the creative guy everyone knew him as. ;_;

I went with New 52, just because it's the most recent/that costume looks sweet. I decided to take Supes a few months after the Justice League was established, though. I haven't gotten much past the defeat of Darkseid in my own viewings and such.

Why does the stickman need to be at peak physical fitness AND have a reality-rewriting magic pencil? Wouldn't it be more fun to have either a stickman who's the epitome of all those Xiao Xiao-like cartoons or a stickman who can create what he wants but is exactly as strong as you'd expect a stick-thin being to be?

I dunno. I was trying to encompass all the traits of a Stick animation. However, I'd drop the peak physicals pretty fast if that's how things should be.

It's an interesting character concept that strikes close to home, it just needs some tweaking. Let's say... horribly fragile, capable of rebuilding and upgrading himself via his pencil, but needs to take a LOT of time out to draw something useful, since he's using a gigantic pencil (or is wielding a regular pencil with one "hand" that completely lacks fingers) and that stuff's unwieldy.
