Calcium could work as well. And Twisted feel free to make two more characters if you think you can handle doing three characters. I think I might make that the limit, three characters a piece since I know some people like playing multiple characters (and I have two after all), and three is reasonable without getting too carried away.
Mind if I do something with the sand conduit? Everyone seems to be making him nonreactive and not that threatening.
I will revise my post asap if I'm asked to (I have work soon so might not see a reply to do so until later) but I feel like the fight should move forward so if you don't mind...
*shuffles off to IC*
There, Sandy's standing up for himself. About time too :P.
Please if anyone want to have Sandy do something to fight, you can write it yourself as he is an NPC; I just felt he needed to be given a little bit of liveliness to kick him off.
My idea for the bone character.
A very tortured soul, has resented his ability since he got them towards the forefront of the conduit outbreak. He resents it because it still hurts when he breaks the bones he manipulates, it hurts when they slice through his skin. He looked at it more as a curse than anything, not being able to control it, feeling the pain of his skeleton constantly shifting and cutting under his skin.
He would for the first couple years, not do anything with his powers, nothing other than attempt to slow the shifting of his own skeleton to dull the pain. He look at other people resentfuly, lucky they didn't have to deal with this as he did. As soon as the DUP and Curdon Cay were public knowledge he admitted himself in hopes that he could stop the pain and the hate. But he was very wrong, Curdon Cay was no rehabilitation center, it was a prison and a laboratory.
For a very long time the tested his powers, his physical and mental limits. They made him do terrible things to other test subjects. He killed alot of people. He just continued to grow more resentful, but less at his abilities and more at those around him. The normals whose lives were never touched by these abilities, the DUP for twisting and ruining who he used to be, and the other conduits who had gifts, not curses.
I wanted bone specifically because its hard to manage as a power. He would stick to primarily melee fighting, and guerrilla tactics(One skill i thought of was literally turning people into bombs of bone shrapnel)
Its likely he would try and find refuge with the Reapers, possibly taking up a offer from Cruor to set up a better 'power bank' for the both of them.
Just finished reading the IC. Ill start working on a post and then ill start up on the bone character
Hmmmm Should my little tagger happen to cover up a Reaper symbol? Thatd be a good reason to force some character interaction.
Soooo I am not making promises but I miiight draw a few important parts of this opening. I like how every body seems to be an equal level "DUDEBROWTFAWESOME"
Plus im trying to start my own series soon so this will be a good practice run. I do hope we all can maintain our activity! I think this is the second rp in 5 years that didnt lose momentum within a week *Knocks on all the wood, ALLOFIT*
As for my pair I had a much more interesting idea, you will probably enjoy my CS expect something thursday ish!

^ how i think most of you saw that.
Name: Akim Estocal
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Green Eyes, a tanned olive colored skin. Darker brown dreadlocks. Multiple Tattoos. No septum piercing
White pants, almost a military brown-green colored jacket, grey undershirt.
Side: inFamous
Personality: Akim doesn't take to people well, he finds he resents most new people off the bat, people have to prove they are worth any sort of his loyalty before the receive it.
His abrasive attitude and quiet demeanor make him a hard character to be around for long periods of time.
Biography: Akim grew up in a middle to low class family. He was an only child living with his Mother. Things were fairly normal for them, outside of the issues they had with his convict father on occasion. He was seemingly always in jail but he never stayed for long. Whenever he got out he would show up unwelcome to visit his only kid. The ulterior motive however was to try and pull his son into the same shit that he was constantly getting in trouble for. But time and time again Akim refused.
Near the forefront of the initial outbreak of the conduit gene, at age 15 Akim first developed his powers. This changed everything for him. He was now in constant pain as his skeleton would shift in his body, the way it could slice through his skin and he would just heal so it could do it again. This thing was nothing but a curse to him and it made him resentful. He grew resentful first at himself, that he couldn't control this, that he would be a victim of his own powers. Then the DUP made themselves public, he thought he saw a bit of salvation, the hope began to overwhelm the pain even as he continued to fail at controlling his powers. He turned himself in the first chance he got, with hopes to control this, to stop the pain, to stop the hate.
But one could not be as wrong as he was that day. Curdon Cay was no rehabilitation center, it was nothing more than a prison and a laboratory. They pushed him daily, to his physical and his mental limits. Tried to overload his powers with radiation, to get some sort of reaction. His progress was slow to say the least, his powers seemed to have no purpose, not until the day where he had shifted his hate. He no longer hated himself. He hated the DUP, they tortured him even more than his power already did. That moment where he had the mental shift, he felt something change, he felt his bones respond to him for the first time, and boy did he lash out. He methodically slaughtered the 4 DUP agents that were supervising the experiments. The bones sprouted from his body like blade and he tore them apart piece by piece.
Although he had his new power, some semblance of revenge, the pain remained. His bones would feel like they tearing and braking as they grew around him during the fight. This all did nothing more than allow him to run through more tests. They started to pit him against other conduits, he was forced to do terrible things to innocent people. They broke him down until nothing was left but hatred, and that hatred grew. He hated those who were lucky enough to escape the fate of the conduits. He even now hated other conduits, those gifted with wondrous powers. Who didn't have to experience the torture that he had to endure for years.
The day they were released was an odd day for Akim. He was now the one getting our of 'jail', so he would be the one to pay the visits. First he visited his Mother, he apologized for all the years he had been gone, said his final goodbyes and made her one promise, to always look out for himself. Afterward he began the hunt for his father, this lasted just about a week and a half. No words were exchanged, nothing more happened than Akim draining every piece of bone from his fathers body, leaving him there to die. He then headed north to New York, without much of a goal in mind, just holding onto the hate that was now all he had left.
Power: Bone
Power-:
Bone Growths- He can build on his bones creating blades, spikes, and shields from his body.
Bone Spur- Shoots a shard of jagged bone from his body. Can be shot from anywhere he can grow the bone, just not his skull.
Shrapnel Bomb- 2 versions to this
1. Thrown as a grenade
2. Triggered in a normal, he makes physical contact and pours some energy into the target. Shortly the target will explode sending shards and shrapnel of bone flying.
Hollow Bones- Can hollow out his bones to increase his speed beyond the normal levels of a conduit's enhanced speed. This is done at the sacrifice of a bit of durability
Titan Bones- Pretty much the opposite to hollow bones. Increasing physical durability but at the loss of speed.
Bone Wings- Self explanatory(had no other idea for a movement skill)
Other: His fighting style remains primarily melee as its hard to find sources of bone in public. He is quite adept in his melee fighting as it was the primary focus of any combat training he received in Curdon Cay
Egyptian(I dunno why its important, but it is)
Okay Done! lol
Well he's great at it. He ran from the DUP for a year nearly. He can turn into paint and walk along solid surfaces. He can create illusions withe the paint. Cruor not as easily since he can hear my blood. Not sure on the range.
Also curious as to what my bone guys blood sounds like. And I just realized I never filled out his power section... Lol
I'd imagine, from his powers and his personality, something akin to heavy metal, or something equally dark. If anyone has any ideas for the sound they want their conduit to sound like, feel free to tell me.
Hey just wondering if we should take a sort of list to analyze the balance of characters on either side. Just want to avoid what happened in this other RP I took part in where one side became underplayed and there was no real conflict.
Heros:
Kiera
Ash
Order
Elijah (if Acer is still here?)
Infamous:
Scorn
Curor
Akrim (if he's accepted)
Neutral:
Jacob
Eden
Okay, it's better than I thought but it's something to keep in mind to anyone making new character. I guess 'Hero' characters haven't been able to see much action yet is all, which is understandable. Heros are only needed once Villains show their faces.
