Evelyn - It's [s]Not[/s] a Date She didn't know how long she was standing there. For all Evelyn knew, it could've been just mere minutes, but with the abhorrent mixtape of bubblegum pop and some cheery dance mixes ravaging her eardrums something awful, not to mention having to watch that....that thing lurching and writhing around on the floor like he was having some epileptic fit, it seemed more like hours were passing by, and still no sign of Lisa. Did she forget? Was she too wrapped up in another book to even look at the clock? It was like thirty minutes already and the party...well the party was barely in full swing, seeing how the only dingus on the dancefloor was John Travolta's retarded cousin. There was certainly a fever, but it wasn't Saturday Night. More like the oncoming illness, followed by convulsing and frothing at the mouth while your entire nervous system shut down. Everybody else was just sitting around or chatting it up (yawn). Did....no. But...y-yeah..you know what? She fucking set me up. It was the only other assumption that came to Evelyn's troubled mind as she stood there glaring at the floor. Typical, a cute girl trying to get the goth loner's hopes up only to crush them. No no....fuck! I'm just...working myself up now. I just need to cool down. She'll get here. And it wasn't long after that thought she saw the door open...and who else walked into the room...but her. "W...whoa..." Evelyn breathed rather astonished, awestruck it may seem. To say that Lisa looked good would be an understatement, because to Ev, she looked absolutely amazing. She had to admit compared to the girl, she felt a little underdressed, but that was just her style. A small warmth came to her pale cheeks with a soft shade of red glowing through, her eyes barely able to leave the bookworm coming up to her and waving shyly. Ev tilted her hat a little, just to hide her blushing, and answered back with a small grin, "Huh? Oh, it's cool, Lisa. Party kinda sucks anyways." She swallowed a bit of air into her lungs, her mouth already feeling dry and a lump forming in her throat, making even speaking, the most mundane of tasks, a feat to accomplish, "So uh...that's a nice dress you're wearing."
