Brief Background: He was a bit of a geek in his youth, spending more time studying than even his parents required.  He went to one of the best prep schools in Japan, and graduated second in his class.  He went to college in Tokyo to get a degree in electrical engineering.  After graduating from college, he got a job as an engineer with Virgin Galactic (it was bought by Google in 2023), hoping to go to Mars as a colonist.  Instead, he was assigned the job of building the ship the colonists would use.
He came to the station a few weeks ago, along with a load of technical parts and supplies.
