Main Holding stank of unwashed bodies and excrement, as well as a hint of blood from fights that weren't stopped because they had been too minor to cause organ damage. If one lived here, though, they tended to get used to the smell, which to newcomers could get overpowering at first. Today, some livers were due to be harvested, and the few werewolves who had managed to keep track of dates had spread the news. The collective anxiety was through the roof. Aubrey was one of those, and the thought made her snarl softly to herself. The last thing she wanted to do was wear that stupid mask again, but most of the time when she bit her handlers it was instinctive. She just couldn't hold herself back. She paced in a circle, then quietly went behind one of the filthy canvas screens. They would find her, she knew that, but she didn't want it to be too easy for them. It was day one. Rey had already been told the basic layout of the building and what happened to the werewolves, but now was his chance to capture it all on video. Lunie Health loomed in front of him, black against the early morning sky. He took a moment to make sure his tiny camera was properly hidden on his work uniform, took a steeling breath to prepare himself for whatever he might see within the factory, and walked in through the main entrance. It was time.

Shucking scraps of meat through the openings in the grated walls was the highlight of most of Clifford's days here. Lunie considered these people dogs so they fed them like such. The banged-up gentleman, wearing a black cloth around his face to keep any bacteria or chunks out of his gaping head wound, was pushing around a cart holding a steel container of various raw meats, pumped with growth serums and antiseptics so the livers would stay healthy and get nice, big, and juicy. Yes, of course, it was degrading, it was inhumane. But the people in charge couldn't care less. Once again; dogs. Clifford wasn't so sure of that discrimination. But he wasn't about to bring the issue up with his supervisor. Some of the werewolves dotting Main Holding eyed him as he slowly, calmly scooped up clumps of meat and tossed it inside. A lot of them did their best to abstain from eating the stuff, knowing full well what it set them up for in the long run. But the issue was, well... they weren't getting anything else, save bins of water. So it was either starving to death, or facing the liver harvesting music. Scoop by scoop, he went on undeterred.

Amber awoke with a loud scream. She leaped to her feet and looked around wildly. She panted heavily, her chest heaving up and down as she struggled to breath. She immediately began to gag, the horrible stench of the room invading her nostrils. She noticed several other wolves in the room with her. She stared at them horrified and backed away. She spotted a nearby canvas screen which she hurriedly ran behind, her tail pathetically tucked between her legs. She whimpered and lay down on the grated floor, trying to not inhale the smell. She stared at the dried blood that caked her fur. The memory of what happened that night flooded back to her. She dipped her head and closed her eyes. That had to be why she was here. She made a big mistake and now she was paying the price. She jumped when she felt something land next to her. She stood and backed away from the object and stared at it. It was a slab of raw meat. She cringed, the smell of the room and the sight of the uncooked meat did not mix well. She timidly glanced at the man outside the room who was tossing the meat in. Was this really what they were going to eat? She slumped back down to the floor, eyeing the meat wearily.

The sound of a scream turned Aubrey's head, and she caught a glimpse of a person running behind another screen, and snatching a disgusting-looking chunk of meat, she headed towards it. She blew a tangled lock of hair out of her face and peeked behind the screen, biting into her breakfast. She eyed her silently for about a minute, not sure what to say or even whether to bother with the young woman. She couldn't help the pity she felt, but at the same time, she was uncertain if she could trust anyone here. "Hey," she said. Her voice cracked; it had been a while since she used it. "Sorry you ended up here. Can't help, but...yeah." She glanced up somewhere and bit her dry lip. Soon they'd come for her. Soon there'd be a mask keeping her teeth from someone's neck again and an IV pumping her full of drugs. Rey had been sent toward Main Holding to round up the werewolves who were "due". He was to take them into individual surgical cells, restraining and sedating them if need be, and then he was to watch a more experienced employee remove the liver. The door didn't look very imposing. He pushed it open... ...and immediately pinched his nose shut while wrinkling his face in utter disgust. "Gah!" he grunted, and then braced himself before un-pinching his nose. He glanced down and made sure he was recording, but wished he could record the simply repellent scent of the place. He gulped and blinked. The stink had made his eyes water, but now it was time to do what he'd signed up for.

Some juices from the meat had splattered onto Clifford's whiteboard. He took a rag out of his apron's pouch and wiped it off. Can't have any caked blood on it now, that wouldn't do at all. It'd been way too long since he'd seen a bottle of Windex around here. He tucked the rag back in the pouch and turned his head, watching some of the werewolves feed on the supplied meat. Some of them fought over one clump like savages, eventually separating it into two chunks. Whole thing was just... nasty. Wonder how they'd react to a... nice steak dinner. Clifford would do that. If Lunie would allow it. He turned his head and made his way towards the maintenance closet, pushing the cart with him to refill for one more go-around. The moment he got near the doors, they opened, with some spectacle-wearing-skinny-man marching in. The moment the smell of Main Holding flooded his nostrils, he grunted a bit and pinched his nose. Clear sign of a greenhorn, that was for sure. The man took a few steps forward before Clifford decided to cut in and stop him. Be polite. Offer him a tour. Get to know him before the guy probably starts regretting his decision to come here. He set the cart aside and pulled down his facecloth. He slowly grabbed and held up his whiteboard with his hooks, holding it in front of his face and writing on it with a black marker from the pouch. The greenhorn, a little confused, watched as he turned the whiteboard around, now with a question presented upon it. New?

Kieron awoke when a rotten slab of meat landed in his vicinity, splattering rancid juices and whatever other liquid from the floor onto his face. He blinked a few times and then wiped his face clean as he sat up. Looking around, he noticed the others begin to dig into their "food." With a heavy sigh, Kieron grabbed the piece of meat in front of him and eyed it for a moment before sinking his teeth into the rotten flesh. He ignored the sour taste, and the fact that he knew this was just a sad attempt at staving off starvation. The simple fact was that this was their only source of sustenance, and he would either have to eat, or die a slow, painful death. Wouldn't that be nice. As a matter of fact, they would not allow him to starve to death. He had already tried it. His naturally optimistic and kind spirit had been withered down by his time in Lunie, and he only wished to end it. If a werewolf refused to eat, they simply tranquilized them and pumped them full of nutrients so that they could harvest that nice, plump liver. Kieron finished off the decomposing meat and looked down to his abdomen where the scar from the last removal was just barely visible now, thanks to werewolf healing abilities. But today, that scar would be reopened and he would begin the agonizing process all over again...

Midnight felt her grey eyes flutter open when she heard a ear piercing scream which made her let out a soft growl. When she looked at the Amber when she eyed the piece of meat, she couldn't stop but analyze her and anyone close to Amber. It was a a habit and it tends to make time pass, which to her, made her calm. She ran a hand through her hair but pulled it back down when her torn sleeve went up. She hugged her knees whimpering softly as she put her head to her knees. Everything still hurt her from the last beaten and she was sure new scars were forming. She saw a piece of meat roll to her which made her snicker. The food here makes me really want to throw up, she got it before the others would take it. She felt her eyes tear up and fill with a urge to cry so hard, but she couldn't let the tears fall. She still felt betrayed from the accident....so to stop her from crying hard she ate the meat. Cringing at the taste, she swallowed it.

Amber took a deep breath and concentrated on calming herself down. She managed to force her anxiety out of her mind long enough to take control and force her body into human form. She sighed and leaned against the canvas screen. She stared quietly at the dreary metal walls. She didn't know what she was going to do. There wasn't any thing to do. She was stuck here, wherever here was. The thought certainly didn't help her; She just felt worse now. Amber hugged her legs tightly to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. Almost completely unaware of her surroundings due to her mood, she was highly caught by surprise when she heard a woman's voice speak to her. She whipped around and saw a woman peering around the edge of the canvas screen. The woman must have been here for a while, if her appearance was anything to go by. Amber worriedly glanced at the half eaten chunk of meat the woman held in one hand. Amber wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to trust anyone here, but it was almost comforting to hear the woman's attempt at conversation. She silently took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to speak. “W-What is this place?” Amber quietly asked the woman. “Why are we here?"

Aubrey hesitated. "It's like a factory farm," she said softly. Pity and dread weighed down on her, but it wouldn't help the girl to keep the truth from her. "They want our livers. They cut part of it out, wait for it to grow back and then 'harvest' us again." She considered sitting, but the grated floor looked particularly nasty here, so instead she glanced around. No one had a dart aimed at her. Yet. "I am sorry. Perhaps...we could form a team," she said, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Form a plan. Try to escape. Won't be easy, though." She pinched her nose, took a bite out of the sickening cut of meat and forced it down. Although Rey was determined not to show it, he was certainly taken aback by the appearance of the man who'd approached him with a whiteboard. Relieved for the reason to look away from his face--he didn't want to be rude and stare--he read the text. New? it asked. He nodded sheepishly, feeling embarrassed despite himself. "Sorry, sir. My supervisor warned me, but...wow. How do you manage?"

Clifford wiped the whiteboard clean with his rag. He couldn't blame the new guy for wondering how a walking crash test dummy like him was still alive and harvesting livers at this point. He wrote on the whiteboard some more and then turned it around. Hard body. Clifford was a simple man with simple views. It didn't matter much to him what other folks wanted. But what was a skinny guy like this doing on Lunie's payroll? This wasn't some cheap meat grocer with a couple of butchers. This was a full-fledged operation with live, sentient victims. Clifford directed the new guy over to the storage closet. Figured he'd show him some of the ropes. After setting the cart under a meat repository, he turned back to him and wrote another message on his whiteboard. Clifford Briley. You?

Amber stared at the women in utter horror. She wrapped her arms around her torso and hugged herself tightly. "O-Our livers?" She stammered. She looked away and didn't say anything for a while. She simply buried her face in her knees and returned to tightly hugging her legs to her chest, this time while gently rocking back and forth. Eventually she stopped rocking and looked up at the woman, her eyes noticeably more red than usual. "But how could we possibly escape?" She asked quietly.

Aubrey's gaze fell to the stained metal that crisscrossed below them. "It won't be easy," she replied. "And I will probably be recovering from surgery, which would only complicate things. But we cannot be slaves forever. I've lost track of how long I've been here; you don't deserve to suffer that long. No one does." She sighed and looked around again. The time was growing near. Rey followed the man, trying to resist the urge to pinch his nose shut. He glanced around the closet and back toward the man's whiteboard. "R--Jesse, sir. Jesse Wilson. Nice to meet you. I've been told I should find a surgeon so I can observe the extraction process. Are you one?"

Amazing that some folks still call it "surgery" in here. Surgery implies that it's for the benefit of the patient. This all came down to the more appropriate term of "harvesting". Some certified employees were a lot messier, admittedly. Not Clifford. Even with a prosthetic hook-hand, he always managed a clean liver extraction. Like pulling the meat from inside cattle. Clifford waved Jesse out of the storage room and led him back over to Main Holding, towards the enclosures. He had his prod at the ready, just in case he needed to use it. Not to torture the poor things, just to defend himself. If Jesse needed to observe the extraction process, now was a great time to sign up for a seat. First step of the procedure - round up someone to cut open. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a werewolf by the toe.

Amber sighed and looked away. She hoped the woman would be able to come up with a good plan. She hated to think what might happen if they were caught. She jumped suddenly when she heard a strange sound in the room. She crawled to her feet and walked to the edge of the canvas screen. She cautiously peered around the side and searched for the source of the noise. She watched as two men entered the room, one ominously holding a electric prod. She stared at them for a while until it hit her. Of course, they had to be here for the "harvest." She quickly hid behind the screen again and turned towards the woman. "I-I think they're h-here," She said, her whole body starting to shake in fear.

Midnight was still in the corner hugging her knees when she heard noise echo in the room they were being held at. It made her cringe when the frightened girl said her words knowing it was time. She got up from her spot walking to go see who it was going to be this time to cut one of them open. Once she could see them, she notice they were males. One of them was a person she never saw before and the other was the same one who gave them food. He seemed to be holding something too. Her grey eyes darkened when she found out it was a electric prod. Was he really going to hit us with that? She was scared now if she was chosen, so she let out a soft growl before turning towards her corner. She moved her tangled light brown hair to the side as she sat back down. Even if it was her she couldn't do anything. They will hurt her till no end if she kept on resisting. And she couldn't take that right now.....

Aubrey bolted up so she was standing as straight as a pole. She fixed the two men with a wide stare and then shrank back behind the screen. They were here. That was them. It was her time. Her upper lip lifted itself to reveal her mean, sharp teeth and a growl rumbled from her chest into her throat. The part of her that knew logic and common sense wanted to give in; after all, the worker had a prod and would easily beat her into bloody submission if he needed to. But there was the part of her that made her a werewolf: The wild animal in her, the creature that responded to threats by being one. Like always, this part won over, and the soft warning growl had increased to thunder now. Rey felt a chill run down his spine. He made sure to stay behind Clifford. One of them sounded like it was definitely going to jump out at them and attack, and he felt surrounded. He glanced around, hoping to see the friend who'd gone missing. He wasn't there. Pushing back disappointment, he focused back on Clifford and the weapon he held. The sound of growling was really creeping him out, but could he really blame them? All he could do was keep filming and hope they didn't tackle him and break the minuscule camera.

Clifford worked his way towards the girl who was growling up a storm, prod in hand. Jesse was following close behind, probably scared like a crapping dog. In this situation, he was like a chihuahua among pinschers. Clifford eased up on the werewolf staring dead at him and, unexpectedly, handed Jesse the prod. There was a confused look on the newbie's face as he took the prod in hand, keeping the sparky bit away from his face. Clifford calmly took a small, shiny packet out of his apron pouch. He held it over the casing of his prosthetic, squeezing a viscous, semi-yellow fluid over it. He put the packet away and smeared the substance over his arm. This was a trick he used often - slap some numbing fluid on his prosthetic, goad a werewolf to attack him, and watch them quickly slump over, numb throughout their bodies and locked down on his arm. Yeah, he'd have to pry off whoever bit him but that wasn't a problem. Plus with the casing around the prosthetic, the wires wouldn't get snapped and render it useless. This was better than beating the poor things into submission with a prod, a tactic used by other employees. Clifford hunched over as best as his brace would allow, holding out his prosthetic, daring the werewolf to lunge at him. Jesse was still watching, still holding the prod at the ready. Whole situation didn't look friendly at all, but... well, this isn't a friendly place. Clifford kind of wished it were, though.

Kieron perked to attention when the sound of growling filled his ears. He looked over to see the usual keeper, Cliff, beginning to round up those ready to be taken for harvest. But an unfamiliar figure was behind Cliff, and an unfamiliar scent soon followed into Kieron's nose. His nostrils flared as he took in the new scent. He could smell the timidness on the man, clearly someone new. Which was sort of strange, seeing as Lunie wasn't ready and willing to bring outsiders in on their little torture chamber very often. Though Kieron usually remained in his human form (in part due to his lack of strength to shift) he was still very keen on his werewolf insticts. And with that, came a pack mentality. When he heard the defensive growling of one of his cellmates, a deep growl quickly began to grow in his chest. He knew what would happen, they would be prodded or drugged or shot with a tranquilizer. But that wasn't enough to stop the instincts. He took a few steps closer on his shaky legs and the growling was now fully audible. He kept a low stance, almost crouched as he waited for someone to make a move.

Midnight watched two werewolves growl at the two men that were standing there ready to take one of them. She let out a snarl at the thought of one of them being cut open just for their livers. It made her want to growl and rip their heads off. She got up and walked towards the bars staring at them. She looked at the first wolf who growled and notice she was the one that stayed here longer then anyone. She looked at the other one and notice it was a male. He seemed so weak and tired. She looked back at the two males on the other side of the bars. She let out s notice that sounded like half a growl and half a sigh. She had a strange feeling the girl growling wad the one being chosen. And it made her eyes flash with pity and anger. This place makes her angry on what they do to them.
