"Your father was a pitiful excuse of a human being! I'm not evil! I have only punished the guilty!" She was furious now - how dare he! She was the victim in all of this; she was the one who had to endure the pain and the suffering. Adam had a comfortable life and was always praised as the saviour of his country and she got nothing except for a line over her name. To society, Ruby was just a means to get stronger while Adam seemed to represent everything good about humanity. She detested his very existence. "You didn't see what they did to me. You're as bad as them. A dog that should be put down." She breathed, letting her understanding of the world around her slip away as the streetlights burst around her. Car alarms rang around them, almost in protest. The power lines sparked then exploded completely - she was angry now. Yet, all the anger in the world couldn't stop a bullet. In fact, her anger caused her to lose focus on the situation as she suddenly processed his words. He was going to... kill her? She wasn't a threat. She hadn't done anything wrong. She was just a victim in this brutal game of cat and mouse. A millisecond before Adam's finger pulled against the trigger, a sudden burst of electricity blasted through the air, slamming into him. It was clearly not meant to kill but the pressure wave it generated knocked him off his feet. Ruby was dazed a little - she hadn't done that, she was fixed to the same spot, too confused to even move. After another second, she turned back towards the origin of the electricity. There was someone on the roof, their platinum-blond hair blowing in the wind. Their face was covered and Ruby couldn't make out who it was. "Run." The mysterious woman commanded her. Suddenly, she found herself turning on the spot and sprinting to her motorbike. The other meta seemed dazed as well so Ruby had just enough time to get on and get the hell out of there. Watching her with interest, this new meta suddenly turned her attention towards the road. About a mile off, she could see a long stretch of troop transporters and military vehicles, probably coming for her. "The cavalry." She quipped before leaping from the roof and landing with a roll. She seemed to exude power so she had no worries about the other two metas. Without looking back, she sauntered towards the writhing body of Adam. Kneeling down over him, she wrapped a slender hand around his arm. All she needed to do was complete the circuit - if she wrapped her other hand around his other arm, current would flow through his chest and kill him instantly. She paused for an instance, staring at him with inquisitive lightning-blue eyes. "It would seem that you still have more searching to do and I'm curious to see what such a thing would result in. For now, you will live, Adam Savage." She murmured before dragging her hand away from him and getting up with a turn. She didn't even bother to look back and check if he was trying to go after her or not - to be perfectly honest, she didn't particularly care.
