Xander notices Daniel get kicked into the stomach where he rushed over as to see what's going on.

"Ay! What was that for?! Are you high or something?!" Xander said, looking at her in annoyance.

He obviously expected a sort of attack from the woman and thus tightened his stomach and kept his arms out to the side, he awaited for the individual's response.
