Nationality: Japan Personality: Makoto is extremely brash and almost tomboyish as well as pretty brazen while also being very physical, aka almost violent. With her words she is oftentimes painfully frank causing her to unintentionally hurt people with what she is saying. However, she is very bold and will never back out of any fight, no matter how much the odds are stacked against her. As well as that, she is very dependable and will not abandon her comrades and friends even if it should cost her own life. Although her flaws are pretty obvious and probably quite annoying for other people, her jokes and her normally fun attitude make up for it. Biography: The Takai family was a Yakuza-Clan, the Japanese Mafia, so Makoto grew up wielding all kinds of weapons and honing her physical abilities. At the age of 11, her father proudly presented her with the family heirloom, an old Japanese arquebuse, a Tanegashima, engraved with their clan symbol. This meant a lot for Makoto. For once, it meant, her parents had given up to produce a male heir, secondly they had made her the official heir of the Takai-Clan. So Makoto honed her gunnery skills, especially with weapons from the 18th and 19th century. On her 14th birthday, her Yakuza-mates gifted her a Pattern 1853 Enfield rifled musket on which she practiced day and night from now on with her new weapon so she could use it as some kind of sniper weapon. A bit later that year, her parents decided to take Makoto with them to a meeting with a Mafia-group they tried to have dealings with. However, upon landing on a private air strip north of Naples, her family got attacked by a group of mercenaries. Makoto had to watch as her entire family and all her friends got gunned down on the landing strip. The bullets that hit her, weren't lethal. Just as the mercs wanted to finish her off, a magical girl saved her and awakened her powers as magical girl herself. After experiencing the real horror of crime, Makoto decided to head into Rome to train how to be a magical girl, this time, to help people. From the standard pistol to the rocket launcher and even traditional longbows, there is no projectile weapon she isn't able to use, or if she has never encountered it before, she is able to learn how to use it efficiently very quickly. [i]Athleticism:[/i] Despite her looks, Makoto is extremely durable and physically strong. She can handle herself in most hand-to-hand engagements and can jump pretty well. She'd loved to have learned more musical instruments, but for that, she didn't have enough room. Nevertheless, she enjoys listening to a lot of music in her downtime. She can tell you almost anything about history one can think of and if she doesn't know the answer to a given question, she will quickly come back to you with the correct one and have studied that new knowledge by hard.
