Gary listened to Scarlett's words, not believing what he heard, but recognizing the truth behind them. He sighed; that Taylor; that man [i]was[/i] mad enough to try such a gambit, and almost - almost - smart enough to get away with it. He then looked at Scarlett, and said:

"I'm going to do everything I can to make sure Nightmare is safe, don't worry," his voice was sincere. "As for rescuing Gia...I will do that even if you didn't ask. As for believing you, trust me, I don't fully do. But this, this is a lead worth pursuing." The redhead then took out his smartphone and began to call Elena.

"El, bad news." He then gave the full details of the conversation with Scarlett, including the need to keep Nightmare safe, but...more importantly, the fact that Doctor Taylor was behind this and the world needed to be saved from him right now.

"Inform your bosses. Inform them about Gia and Aperture and the fact that we need to start the final battle now. I have the drones, I have the gadgets, I even have the power armor for Consty and Cedric. If we can do this, we can change our fortunes for the better."
