Noster, what is your system for the leech arrows? Also, your character's bio states that his father was a gatekeeper that disappeared when Sylus was much younger. Maybe I'm just arguing with wording here, but if your character is a 200 year old Elf, and the Black Gale has only been around for 20 years, the Gatekeepers only being around for around 14 or so years, so how young would Sylus have been?

AWFUL, your character sheet is good except for one point. With his abilities, we would prefer you had some sort of clause that prevented him from using his abilities against other students, or something, as it is probably a good idea not to have a character who can change the physical make-up of other characters.
As for your question about Lucis-Earth contact through the black gale, travel is probably not the most difficult thing, since humans have advanced aircraft for transportation, and Lucians have everything from Griffons to dragons. There would at least be 1 or 2 corporations trying to monetize black gale transportation. Though, transport between the 2 worlds probably wouldn't be the most common thing, given that cultural differences are a thing, and only 20 years have passed. Humans, as well as Lucian countries would probably have a large portion of their populations against allowing the other group from intruding on their society. Though, given that it has been 20 years by this point, some acceptance/lenience has occurred. A Lucian historian that decided to move his family to New York to learn more about human culture? Entirely possible.

Drew, I am still a bit confused with the "listening to machines" thing. Wouldn't it just be more logical to state that she has a natural talent for recognizing the problems with machines by sound, instead of making it sound like some sort of psychic power?
