Elza growled in frustration as her scythe rebounded off another invisible force. Elza's eyes raced back and forth analyzing her defenses. Layers, no doubt anyone one of them would be to much for her to break through so she would have to slid through them and reach the mage before she could finish her spell. She hefted her scythe again but to her surprise it felt much heavier- no her left arm was just extremely weak, the cause appeared to be a strange tattoo like thing of a withered tree. If the other barriers Meruin had did similar effect she would be to weak to fight by the time she made it through the shields. This was going to be a slow method of trial and effort but Elza had no other choice. So she stepped inside the first circle that stopped her shadow magic and then conjured several shadowy lances again and hurled them at Meruin inside the first barrier hoping that she didn't have another one of the like, while also stepping forward to see if she could get through the second wall with just her body.
