Meruin supposed it was only natural that she would have the literal home-field advantage. That mattered little in the long run, however.

The magic circles followed Elza downwards, while Meruin met Elza's charge head on. She supposed that she should be a bit rougher on her. As she hurtled towards Elza, she muttered a few words and magic circles appeared beside Meruin. Out came Sacred Sealing Wood, and again they came rushing towards an Elza that was flying straight towards them.

Then, Meruin's hair glowed and rapidly became silver in color, and they shielded the short mage while at the same time spearing straight towards the other girl, with a faint charge of energy beneath them, obviously hinting that they were stronger than they looked.
