Of course.

Also, increase in Rank may allow you to be eligible for surprise Events (I failed to mention this, but I was waiting for the right time to let you all know of potential Events)


Edit: Also, only ONE character per player. As Guilty Spark had mentioned, it would prove catastrophic to allow more than one.
