He keeps a lot of personal details to himself, and his secretive manner of conducting himself has lead to rumors that he is, in fact, an Empire spy. However, the only passion that dwells within him is his absolute hate of The Empire, and to see the Varellis Family burn for what they did to Kradis and everyone he has ever loved. This is what makes him loyal to his new Landren comrades, and you can always count on Kradis in a fight, even if he hates your guts. He rarely smiles, and is a known addict to a popular illicit substance known as Overdrive (Similar effects to cocaine, but with a powerful hypersensitive effect, resulting in twitchy but precise, quick movements). He is very spiritually inclined, though does not believe in an afterlife, rather a more harmony with nature and cycle of life, death and rebirth concept. Personal History: From a young age, Kradis was alone. He was born in the slums of Verellis City, and his parents were killed when he was 4, during a raid on a known terrorist hideout, where a stray mortar shell hit their home. As such, he was stuck in the foster system for many years, moving from house to house and having many different caretakers. When he was 16, he signed up for the Empire's Military Academy, being gifted in mathematics and engineering. It was at this time that he met his only partner, Montakus Frigten, and they were in a relationship for six years. With the training in the Honors program came standard GEARs operation, and Kradis excelled at these courses. Soon, he received advanced training in Specialized GEAR training, and joined the Imperial Army assisting with raids on rebel encampments. With each passing day, Kradis became more and more uneasy with what he was doing, as they attacked families, executing men, women and children to make examples for others. After counselling with Montakus, he decided to resign, and together they joined a resistance cell, that was smuggling convicted innocents and displaced refugees into the Independent Nations. It was extremely dangerous, and they were nearly caught many times, but it was rewarding work. Then, came the great betrayal: One of the most trusted members of the resistance cell was in fact an Imperial spy. The hide out was raided, and Montakus lost his life during the fighting, buying time for the others to escape. The rag tag group crossed the border, and Kradis parted ways with them, wandering alone in the deserts, for weeks, grief stricken and fury burning in his heart. So Kradis defected, and joined the LDF as a GEARS Pilot, specializing in long range bombardment and artillery fire. He hopes to exact revenge on the spy one day, and bring The Empire to it's knees, even if it kills him. It took many months of assessment to identify if he was a spy, but after much deliberation, he was given the all clear and assigned to the 101st, where he currently resides on base. Other notes: An earlier generation GEAR, it was built to carry heavier loads than standard GEARS, as well as to have the capability to operate under extreme conditions reliably. Truiss Heavy Industries revealed their entry into the market, the M-Series, which was an instant hit with many governments and corporations. Despite being expensive and slow moving, the M-Series is unparalleled with it's high load capacity and survivability, without sacrificing it's range of view or too much mobility. Kradis' particular unit Gammorah takes advantage of this feature with large artillery weapons (large for a GEAR, anyway) to provide fire support from afar against entrenched infantry and GEARS in urban environments (Dangerous combat zones for GEARs), as well as forested and open areas, though with less effectiveness. Unfortunately, Gammorah has little in the way of close range offensive power, and lacks the mobility to effectively fight in close quarters/melee range. When in artillery mode, Gammorah will fold out stabilizers from the back of it's legs to help reduce the massive recoil of it's armaments, rendering it immobile until deactivated.
