Nirayane's eyebrow rose quite surprised at the girl's tracking skill. She was a natural at it, and impressed the elven girl, same with the animal call that brought the doe into their presence, the first kill of the night. Ever silent, she stalked their prey through the bushes and thorns, trying to place herself in the ample position to strike, her fingers, sharp, intertwining around the drawstring of her weapon and slowly pulling it back with a fresh arrow nocked. Nira kept her breathing steady, gradually her inhales and exhales becoming shallower until almost no breath at all escaped her lungs and passed her lips by. The doe, proud and majestic as any of the forest creatures, she was bathed in the light of the full moon cascading through the dappled shadows of the trees, her cream white fur seeming to glow almost ethereally in the midst of the thicket of red snowberries of she was nibbling on. Carefully Nirayane rose from a crouched position, closing one eye and zeroing in on her target, and then...she let loose of the arrow and watched as it soared along its path with a snap of the bowstring, almost in slow motion, until it thunked into the meat of the deer, releasing a hurtful yelp before scampering away to safety. Nirayane quickly took off after the escaping animal, the scent of fresh blood upon her nose, but kept back a bit so she didn't end up getting skewered herself by the deadly dart of her hunting companion, plus wishing to see how good of an archer she was.
