What could possibly go wrong? Hehe.

Caliburn should also be able to float, so I imagine it wouldn't be [i]too[/i] difficult for Zee to wield him if they work together to control the swings.

Plus, the combinations were somewhat necessary. Zarapth, Enthen, Vulpix, and Streel can't be on the same team since they're all Fire-types, and Caliburn and Monaghan can't be on the same team nor can Zarapth and Monaghan because they share similar types. Lixy and Zee can't be on the same team either because Zee's Lightning Rod would attract Lixy's Electric-type attacks.

I also wanted at least one male and one female on each team.

Oh, and I just liked the idea of Zee and Caliburn together on a team. That drawing was just too much awesome for it not to happen.
