Miles What has it been now? Four, maybe five days. I haven't really been keeping track. How did I get here? Where is "here"? These are all questions I have no answers to, and for the moment, I didn't really want any. This world served as a strange distraction from reality. A reality that I no longer had any desire to be a part of. I let one of my legs dangle off the tree branch I found myself sitting on, letting it sway back and forth aimlessly while my eyes began to reevaluate my surroundings. This world was so foreign that you could almost find it aesthetic, as long as you had a moment to actually observe it. It was sunrise and sunset that I liked the most. The yellow-green sun colored the sky an array of colors at dawn and dusk that you just didn't see back home. The trees, besides allowing for the best view, seemed to be safer then the ground. Not many creatures here seemed to climb. Creatures. Monsters. Animals. I haven't quite made up my mind what to call them. Last night, a wolf like creature passed below the tree I had climbed for the night. It had all the same features as your usual wolf, as far as I knew, except it was huge. Like nightmare huge. Luckily, it had passed without noticing me. The more creatures I saw the more I felt more like prey then predator. Besides the creatures, the only other thing I missed was dreaming. For whatever reason, sleep didn't exist here. I closed my eyes but it just refused to come to me. Without sleep I couldn't dream and my dreams were the only place I could see her now. Soon, I might forget what she looks like. Her hair. Her eyes. Her beautiful smile. God, I need to take my mind off of this. Off in the distance, I could make out a clearing, but that wasn't what caught my attention. There was a group of, well, he wasn't really sure what was in that clearing. They seemed to be human. Maybe, it was more of those deer-people he had seen when he first got here, or maybe there where others like him. Whatever they were it was worth taking a closer look. I examined the tree I found myself in looking for good footing and began my climb down. Damn these dress shoes. Five minutes later, after taking each step slowly, I jumped the final gap and began my walk in the direction of the clearing. It took me about twenty minutes to get there. I slowed my pace, not wanting to get myself in a dangerous situation. My black blazer I had flung over my shoulder I put back on now. It might help me blend in with the darker surroundings rather than my white shirt. Reaching the edge of the tree line, I surveyed the scene. Other people. Interesting. Part of him wanted to just disappear back in the woods. He wasn't really great to be around other people, but considering the fact that he had no idea where he was and these people might know something. There were nine of them. All of them seemed to be around his age, give or take a few years. The whole group was faced away from him. He began a steady slow stride toward the group. Didn't want to startle anyone. Today is turning out to be interesting.
