Out the front of the school Grace was contently standing in the rain, getting absolutely saturated, kicking at puddles as others hurried inside. She paused for a moment as a fancy looking car pulled up but quickly turned away, hurrying up onto the stairs that were covered and took out her water bottle, taking another big gulp she then proceeded to clear herself of all the water on her and filled the bottle up with rain water, which always tasted a lot better than tap water. However sometimes if she concentrated enough she could sometimes separate the bad stuff from the pure water. She didn’t attempt this often though, because it gave her an awful headache. Collecting rainwater this was just a lot easier. Turning to look back out at the fancy car Grace found herself curious, especially when she noticed the driver get out and open the back door for the car for the passenger. She heard herself gasp slightly and then immediately felt horrible for doing so when she realised he was blind. Nibbling on her lip the girl gave a small wave of her hand and the rain parted for the boy, although it still fell it now feel around him instead of on him, kind of like if he had an umbrella. Grace was sure if her mother saw her doing this she would disapprove. She had always been taught not to use her powers unless it was absolutely necessary. However she supposed it was guilt at the way she had initially reacted… and now she was only making it worse. She’d never met a blind person… but she was certain they’d want to be treated like everyone else. Only now she couldn’t stop diverting the rain away from him could she? She’d look like a jerk, like she had been playing some kind of trick on him. Grace groaned, wondering how she got herself into these situations.
