Julia had no idea what she was looking forward to. She didn't even have a clear image of what the camp was supposed to be for her. She supposed she could do a board, or a collage. She remembered that her mother used to do them, when she was having trouble connecting the pieces on a case. When you had the parts but couldn't see the whole. Julia hadn't made one in years. Not since it happened. Julia gathered her materials, only half knowing what she was doing. She smoothed out her large piece of posterboard and scrawled her name in the corner with charcoal. Ten she got to work, finding things she liked and adding them to the collage. Some of it was just color, and some of it didn't even make sense. Julia didn't even notice the tears in her eyes.
