Val got off of the horse and nodded. "I've come to learn to fight the dragons which threaten my people, but the Greybeards told me your group had left already. I bought a horse and came to join you as fast as I could, hoping to join you." He saw two people nearby who were staring at him, obviously not liking him, probably because they had had run-ins with the Thalmor before. Normally he wouldn't care if they hated him, after all, they were just a Nord and a Breton, but problems within the team could lead to his death, so he would need to deal with them as fast as he could. He walked towards them, but before he got there he noticed a Mer woman with pale skin. He had never seen a member of her race before, but from his studies he assumed she was a Snow Elf. Regardless of her exact race, though, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met. He walked over and knelt before her. "Do my eyes deceive me?" he said, "has the Lady Dibella deigned to take mortal form and walk among us?" True, it was a line, from what he had read, that was nearly as likely as her being an actual ancient Falmer.
