The facility was on full lockdown but it was taking the wounded  and moving those able to fight. 

When Lieutenant Kathy Briggs returned to the base with the note. The first office laughed at her. As she showed officer after officer they laughed it off.

Until she met Colonel Franks. Brad Franks, US Army, was a career officer that took risks and was fairly good with his risks. When he got the not he showed the general.

"Is is real?" asked the one star Marine general.
"I think so sir." replied colonel
"alright, tell command to call off the JDAMs."
"Sir." 

With in five minutes the general's request was listened bu it would only last thirty minutes.
