It wasn't my first roleplay but one of the one's I remember most fondly happened to be in the Free Section. Before Guildfall there was an admittedly generic roleplay I joined, the crux of the plot was that there were a bunch of humans with various supernatural powers that had popped up recently and the global-spanning government of the setting was attempting to exterminate them. What made the roleplay rememberable was in the middle of it the GM up and vanished but the majority of players wished to continue so I ended up taking the helm. I introduced a whole new set of villains and in general expanded the scope of the roleplay and kept it going for another couple of months until interest finally dropped off.
