Other than that... Eh, I suppose I really haven't found the experience inconvenient enough on mobile devices to conclude it needs fixing? (Edit: My textboxes actually adjusted to screen size...)
And that's where mobile can be a bit of a pain. There's several browsers out there and each is a bit different. Dolphin is good if there is a mobile version of a site cause it has a setting to force a page into mobile version or full site version. It works on sites like Wikipedia and Facebook.

Haha! It's all good. Got a lot on your plate and it's a mild inconvenience, not a deal breaker. That mobile version looks good. Love to play around with it so see how it works, but that's the sort of layout that'd work. :)

Well this is weird, I been browsing the guild for weeks on mobile and it is mobil-friendly, everything is stacked before you even worked on it@Mahz

@oakman: As mentioned above, different browsers handle content differently. (Not limited to mobile browsers, though. Take IE, FF and Chrome, for example, and in cases you can get pretty different results on PC, too.) EDIT: My cell also has userinfo next to post, as I prefer it... Ehh... Keep using the PC version on cell as an option? I prefer this outlay, even for cell. I also like PM/sub buttons visible at all times, and RPG doesn't really require zooming for me, since elements are large enough to hit. FF and Android,for the record. EDIT2: RPGred is distinctly a sad bleaced-red pink on cell-screen, too.

It isn't bad at all on my device. Actually, back before GuildFall, I specifically switched to desktop because the mobile version at the time was inconvenient for me, and ever since, the Guild has been one of the most mobile-friendly desktop sites I've seen.

While I love the function of "Full" and "Apply," I don't like how much real estate it's taking up. I would suggest styling it similar to a tag, only with different background colors to help differentiate their function from the other tags. Here's a mockup of what I mean. Also, it might be worth considering to change the color of "Full" from warning/error/delete red to "We good"/chillout blue. Being "Full" is a good thing if you're in the game. Maybe I'm off on that, thoughts?

Speaking of tags - the white-on-lightish gray is especially bad with low-brightness, low-contrast settings (which most of my monitors are, to combat anything with white background or neon text). That white on the green-ish Apply tag, though, begins to creep into realms of painful (same with subscribe tags). (I propose giving tags either black backgroud or black text...) I agree on the Full/Apply tags generating too much void, though.

Green and Blue might be too close for any Blue/Green colorblind users.

Such as the word written on the tag? :-P I maintain that black text would be more comfortable to read on tags so light-colored, though. Or that the tags themselves need to be darker. In the past, I've used websites like this: http://www.color-blindness.com/coblis-color-blindness-simulator/ or this: http://colorfilter.wickline.org/ to check if my webpages are color-blind accessible. Most fail horribly. I also agree that a darker text on those buttons would be appropriate. The white, as is, hurts my own (not color-blind) eyes.

Looking good! Really that looks nice. I hope that means the sidebar on desktop is also stacked with the forum categories. I have another issue with using Android and visiting RPG through my web browser. The size of the font in the "New Reply" text box is larger than the size of the font on the rest of the page. Perhaps that branches into an issue with font and web display on the Android platform, but I think it'd be nice if we had a workaround. Other than that, I think the mobile version will look nice. When do you plan on pushing it to the live version of RPG?

To be fair, most people are going to use Ctrl+B/I/etc. to add the tags, (or the buttons) which will obviously never have that error. Besides, although it'd be nice for it to work regardless of the configuration, it really isn't necessary, nor is it too much to ask IMO for users to just fix their BBCode in such a case. EDIT: added [noparse] so the quote would work.

@ravenDivinity: I'll push up the new site tomorrow. I'll spend the rest of that day fixing it according to feedback and working on whatever feature/improvement I decide to get done this weekend. I might've misunderstood you, but the sidebar is only going to stack on smartphone-sized devices because it doesn't fit. On anything larger, there's plenty of space to show the sidebar and the forums. It'd be cool to let users collapse/expand the sidebar, but it's prob not worth the effort. @clark: Looks good. I think the solution is to move the status to where you have it in the mockup but just leave it as colored text. That way "apply"/"jump-in" can be green and "full" can be gray without looking like a tag since I agree that red is a bad color for this. @Shienvien: Yeah, I need to improve the tags so they are bearable on our dark background.

Some things kinda stack, but it took me a lot of effort the past couple days to actually make things stack appropriately, adjust the margins on content at different sizes, and create mobile-friendly versions of some of our components that will appear as you shrink the page. I'll deploy those changes tomorrow and then add a directive that tells browsers to render the site at device-width. Of course, you'll still be able to zoom. @Shienvien: I'd like to implement a checkbox toggle in the user-settings that lets yall turn that directive off. Being able to view the zoomed-out/desktop view will also be a temporary solution should there be any game-breaking bugs that make it into the mobile view. Cross-browser + cross-device compatibility issues is where time goes to die.

I might be "new" to the Guild, but I absolutely am in favor of this system; it is much more streamlined and fits the theme, per say. On the even more positive note, directed toward @Mahz; still being "new" to the Guild itself, it is extremely motivating and encouraging to see so much development and time poured into the site with updates almost daily. Thank you - the same goes for all the great suggestions.

I have a few small render issues I've found. I am on Google Chrome. First, just to experiment, I shrunk my browser down to a rather small size. Up the top, I got overlap from the page number indicators over the tabs. I also agree that hiding avatars would be useful for such small-sized displays, and the user info reduced to a single line (at least optionally) Second, I managed to find the full-screen button while editing a post. When exiting fullscreen, however, I discovered that the body of that post had realigned to the center, shoving the avatar section aside. I reproduced it just to make sure it was not the resizing- it wasn't, just the fullscreen.

true. Not sure what way that user had input his BBCode. It certainly isn't too much to ask them to fix it (we did), but if its the sort of thing that could easily be fixed for avoiding future bothers, then we figured we'd mention it. would it be functional / a good idea to have it so that when BBcode in a post isn't working right after you post it, you get a big red sign telling you so?

Or, better, warn of potential errors right before you post it. (At the moment, to detect errors, first you have to click preview, but that can only help you if you choose to check). Perhaps, when you click post reply and it senses errors, it gives a pop-up or something telling you it has potential errors and asking you "are you sure?" At the same time, it needs to be relatively unobtrusive. I don't want a big nasty sign shouting at me any time it thinks my BBCode is wonky.
