Okay, so we'll try to stay within the framework of what's already going on. That in mind... Lex Luthor paid the Joker to kidnap the Mayor, and hand the body over to a new criminal gang in Gotham named the Mutants. (Yes, from The Dark Knight Returns.) What Luthor had to give the Joker to get him to play along might terrify you. Lex does this to cause a special election for Gotham's Mayor, and to cause headlines that Batman is turning Gotham into a war zone---not a safe city. The Mutants' play along to gain instant infamy, and because their secret master wanted bait. The secret master, the vampire known simply as the Monk when he's around (and the Mad Monk when he's not), KNEW Batman wouldn't be around with Freeze's actions. He wanted Batgirl and Robin. Damian lives because the Mad Monk willed it; he wanted an explosion big enough to incapacitate...not kill. He underestimated Batsuits. Luthor attempts to make Gotham's elite and political powers his proxy after realizing he fights a two fronted war with Superman and Batman teaming up so frequently to foil him. Luthor plans to have his candidate, Hamilton Hill, win the special election. Luthor seems to have allies within Gotham elite, but so far they're staying mysterious. The Mad Monk, in true classic vampire horror fashion, begins snatching girls from Steph's campus. Batgirl's going to notice, and eventually get herself kidnapped. Meanwhile the Mutants begin to rebel against the control exerted from the vampiric Monk, or maybe just from the awful things he's done to them. Two story threads that begin together but stray off in separate directions so people can go between the two, or stick with one if they get an idea for it, etc. This was the story plan after the 'Night Out' mini-episode. So, tell me: how's your character fit into the above? That is, how do you WANT them to fit into the above? Surely we can spin some plates and make everyone happy.

F-f-f-filler! I made filler.

I like the vampire kidnapping plot, reminds me of Carmilla. I think Batwoman would fit in nicely with that plot-line, since she's always dealing with weird supernatural stuff.

I definitely think Helena can have a hand in a bit of this for sure, given the political nature with the Bertinelli Crime Family and the involvement as Huntress on occasion. Not quite sure how Helena completely fits into the above quite yet, but it definitely could be involving. I think Huntress' own personal patrols could get her involved in the Mad Monk stuff even if she's ten years too old to be herself a kidnapped teenage girl, haha, but she can totally be part of that arc. It'll get me thinking while I'm away from the house this week (starting Tuesday).

Lex underestimates the power of the Bat-Bank Account! Wayne for Mayor, 2015. (I swear I'm only half-joking with that.) As for exactly what Jason will be up to, I imagine he'll be generally messing with the Mutants and other such ne'er-do-wells' plans, after he gets all his things moved back into the Manor, of course. He could possibly enroll at Steph's campus for something to do outside of brooding in the Cave? That or I'll just go ahead and have him start his whole Matches Malone gimmick, if that would even come in handy for Lex/Joker's plot? Hmm. Lots of possibilities regarding what Jason does out of costume.

What sort of Matches stuff would he be getting into?

Frankly I've got no idea. He could try infiltrating the Mutants, helping out with Dick's ongoing murder case, or just general Gotham Underworld things; keeping tabs on our old friends Penguin, Black Mask, and the like. He'd possibly have run ins with Huntress or something as a little aside to the main story of the arc so non-integral characters have something going on? I've got no preferences with what specifically happens, it's just a neat little plot device thingy that could come in handy for various shenanigans.

Well, I want to bring the Mafia back into Gotham City. Though I need to readjust my plans for that. Could be a good place for Jason.

Pfft, you're competing with Black Mask and the Great White Shark. Not like Helena's an actually decent mafioso or something. PS: Do they call her the Godmother?

Ooh! I like ALL of these plans! And I guess out of costume things with Damian can be spent...doing some sort of Damian things I guess? That reminds me, does Damian go to school? I think in the comics there's an incredibly vague statement somewhere that he doesn't, but what do people think? I could get involved with the Mutants or the Joker or the Mad Monk or...it all sounds pretty good actually so I'll do things as they make sense at the time I guess?

He doesn't. Heck, the kid just randomly plopped into Wayne Enterprises while Bruce was away doing Batman things and somehow increased profits. Plus he finds it demeaning. New 52 wise I think the excuse is that he's home-schooled/studies abroad while Carrie Kelly is teaching him how to be a normal human being? Or something? Though with Jason moving back to the Manor, I'm sure Damian will have plenty to do, what with having to figure out his limits with the new big brother. Man, that must be awkward for Bruce. The only Robins in the Manor are the two that had that emo phase where they killed a lot of people.

He totally should, isn't he friends with Carrie Kelly in one version? I guess that would be this game's version of Brentwood Academy?

Oh, so. What my original plan for Helena was. ^_^ One of two 'faces' of the neo-Mafia movement in Gotham along with Rupert Thorne's son. Sound okay?

She's actually really close with one of the Thornes, too!
One mitigating factor changes everything when Helena Bertinelli wakes up undeceased at Gotham General as mob doctor and family friend, Dr. Bradford Thorne, begins to explain to Helena what exactly has just happened and how lucky she should feel to be alive.
So definitely a lot of cool stuff opening up for Helena!

True and pre-New 52 I'm pretty sure he mutters some sentence about getting all the schooling he needed from the League of Assassins when Batgirl asks him. But I was wondering if we'd do things different in this version, like force him to in order to learn how to be a normal kid. Yeah, we're gonna have to write awkward, potentially violent bonding scenes. Yay!~ ^-^ Plus no school means I get to have him do whatever I want in the middle of the day, which I guess is essentially the IC motivation too... Gonna be fun finding ways to pass the time. Although admittedly some of my ideas boil down to "Go bug Todd/Brown/Grayson".

Would be neat to know the Gotham Underworld's immediate reaction when they see Red Hood's reemergence on the news. Heh.

Who would he even socialize with? Terry McGinnis?

Hey, progress. I've known you for a little over twelve-ish hours and you already like me more than you'll ever like Tim Drake or Steph Brown.

Just throwing the school thing out there in case anyone liked it and/or had a better idea of how it could/would work. But yes, he'd hang out with Terry McGinnis, who is an artificially created Cadmus clone meant to replace Batman with someone the government can control. As for Jason... "In other news today, a mysterious fire sale has resulted in a citywide shortage in brown pants. Market theorists and retailers alike are baffled as to the motivation behind the mass buyouts, but stay tuned as we consult our panelists..." and yeah, stealing his bike and introducing yourself by beating him in a fight was a good start. and yes, probably he'd bug all three.

It's like 40 years too soon for that.
