Fine, still works for me.

Following the eruption eight years ago, the Cinnabar Volcano stood for three more years until a side of the newly formed cone collapsed into the ocean, allowing sea water to come in and flood the chamber, creating something of a towering bay that split the main island into two halves. The lava has given way to a fine silt, giving Cinnabar some lovely white sand beaches and the tourists are beginning to flock yet again. It also helps that Fire trainers were quick to repopulate the island, given how close old Blaine is to retirement. There might be people hoping to catch his eye, or even move in to set up a new non-Fire gym in a nod to the Cinnabar Volcano's own retirement from active duty.
