There were only a few more meters that separated her and the girl with the flower crown. With every leap, black dust spring from the top of the mushrooms and coated her skin; she increased her pace, undeterred, and reached the girl. Robin stood in front of her quietly, unsure of what to say or do; the girl was a bit taller than her, but looked much more lovely despite the similar coating of black on her skin. The light of the lantern seemed to shine through the girl, making her appear luminescent, and Robin could hardly tell if she was in the presence of a human or something else. She remembered nothing and didn’t know where she was, but trusted her survival acumen to carry her through. She tucked the flower in her pocket, and smiled faintly. To her side, the owl hooted and ruffled it’s feathers and was making subtle, yet noticeable noises. She pivoted to face the owl and frowned, annoyed by it’s fidgetiness. The foreigner had reached the platform more quickly than Robin thought she would, and before the she would be forced to interact with the lively newcomer, Robin scuttled away from the two and headed towards the lantern. She approached it slowly, not yet climbing the branch, and noticed that it’s light seemed to be constantly changing in intensity. But it was not the flickering of a flame, but the pulsating of an…orb?
