Tristan nodded at the Japanese captain. "These solar panels. How strong are they, exactly? They won't be enough for everyone to have power, but if you are willing to lend them for the duration of your stay, they could be very useful as a start." He turned to the mechanic, with further inspiration. "And perhaps we could gather some car batteries? We can start to charge them with the solar panels, and then we'd have some stored electricity. It won't be too much, but it'd be hugely beneficial, especially if we need to do something during the night, when we can't rely on solar power."

There's a proper electrician here, I think. We could probably manage to get something set up – what am I thinking? We probably [i]won't[/i] have to set anything up. This is a school, they will likely have a back-up generator in the basement. "Actually, now that I think about it we should check the basement while we're clearing. This place may have a back-up generator, and that would suffice for now."
