Esper [Student] [Macro Type] Appearance:
Standing at 5’10”, Seiji’s not particularly noteworthy in terms of his appearance. With relatively short black hair and brown eyes, he seems about as normal as a standard Japanese student… Save, of course, for the white eyepatch over his left eye. While not in school, Seiji usually wears a black jacket over a white t-shirt, as well as navy blue jeans and a small electronic watch on his left arm. His parents were, of course, no exception- early on in his life, Seiji was sent to Academy City to study the Power Curriculum. Though living alone was a nice change of pace from the hectic household where it always felt as if a noose was being tightened around his neck, his lifestyle hadn’t really changed- he was still forced to study, but this time an entirely different set of rules and topics. Though he could easily pass by memorizing everything they threw at him, Seiji never truly found any motivation to get to the top. After all, his life was a lot more comfortable- what use would it be to do more than necessary? A wrench was thrown into his plans soon after, though- caught by a bunch of Skill-Out thugs, Seiji found himself struggling to defend himself. With a lack of any actual combat experience and difficulty using his ability well, Seiji was beaten to within an inch of his life and left unconscious on the street. When he came to, Seiji found himself covered in bandages and missing sight in his left eye. It was embarrassing and infuriating, but inside he knew that it was his own misgivings that had caused this to happen. From here on, he began to work diligently in and out of school. Seiji’s newfound dedication to work led to an increase in his destructive capabilities and, amusingly enough, a new appreciation for his free time, which in many ways was quite counterproductive. Though his calculation ability hadn’t seen improvement, Seiji did find himself receiving an invite from Hybrid Academy to attend as a student. Seeing as how his old school was beginning to tire of his on-and-off work habits, Seiji accepted the invite wholeheartedly. Personality: Despite being a slacker at heart, Seiji’s actually quite dedicated when it comes to working… If he’s interested in the topic, at least. Due to his lack of interest in mathematics and most subjects related to them, most concepts fly over his head unless he thoroughly dedicates time to understanding them (which almost never happens). He is incredibly stubborn, however- after his first loss to those thugs, Seiji found himself unable to accept any losses due to his own powerlessness and will (quite literally) fight until he can’t fight anymore. Towards others, Seiji is usually quite lax; he tends to dislike those who boast or brag about their abilities, though, seeing as how they remind him of his old cocky and complacent self. Likes:

Reading
Cooking
Slacking off (aka sleep)
Video Games (VNs/RPGs in particular)
Dislikes:

Formalities
Exercise
Social hierarchies
Anarchy
Overly complicated theories/ideas
Skills: Is surprisingly good at cooking. Also has an abnormally good memory, though is a bit lacking in the mathematics department. Ability: Electro Explosive (電撃爆弾 – Dengeki Bakudan) (Electrokinesis): Level 3; Macro Special Skill: Energy Grenade- By channeling electricity towards a single point, Seiji can create what is more or less a remote controlled explosive. They function similarly to both EMP grenades and conventional grenades, as they can both do damage and temporarily interrupt electronics communications. If Seiji is interrupted by something like, say, Capacity Down, all currently active grenades will spontaneously explode, regardless of their position; Seiji will, of course, be unable to create any further projectiles until he recovers. Signature Move: Magnetic Well- Instead of creating an explosion, this specialized projectile instead pulls nearby magnetic items within a 10m radius towards itself. The effects last for roughly 15 seconds, at which point the projectile discharges and sends electricity at everything within a 2m radius. Only one of these can be live at any given time. Disadvantages: Instead of the usual memorization of formulas and performing calculations internally that most espers do, Seiji only commits the results of calculations he uses repeatedly to memory. As such, most of his bombs are of a uniform shape, size and explosion- the only thing he can alter is detonation time. While he can set up traps and change the settings and the like, doing to takes considerably longer than his usual attacks. Due to the destructive nature of his ability, there’s also a chance that the bomb might misfire or go off early when not using the standard settings. Magic: None. Theme Song(s): None (for now) Extras: Carries around small cartridges of iron sand/dust in case of emergencies.
