Name: Sakihara Kanako Age: 15 Occupation: Grocery store cashier, but she’s on probation because of an unfortunate, phasing-related incident. Her boss really hates her. Gift: Esper. Kanako has the strange and occasionally unfortunate power of being able to phase through solids. While it might seem cool to be able to walk through walls and closed doors, when Kanako is unable to be selective about exactly what she’s passing through, and often ends up falling through the floor or ending up stuck knee-deep in the foundation of a building. She also cannot make her clothes phase with her, and is therefore unwilling to use her power in public. She is unable to use her ability for more than one second at a time, and is therefore always at risk of getting stuck inside a wall or something. In other words, her power is almost completely useless. School:Tenroujima High School, School for Espers. Personality: As the youngest child and only daughter of a family with four sons, Kanako is incredibly thick-skinned. No amount of insults, mockery or criticism will faze her, because honestly? She's heard it all before. While she's generally a very positive and almost irritatingly energetic person, her strangely unshakeable nature can be somewhat unsettling. After growing up with four older brothers, she eats fast and has become incredibly good at avoiding pranks. She secretly likes playing dating sims, but won't admit that to anybody. Biography:Kanako grew up in a cramped apartment in Tokyo with her parents and four older brothers: Kaito, Kenji, Katsuro and Kouta. After an entire childhood of being the butt of a thousand different jokes and pranks, her parents --a pair of somewhat irresponsible world travellers-- finally gave her some money and sent her to Academy City to get away from her brothers and maybe hone her Esper powers a little. To be honest, she really dislikes her powers, and wishes that she had something cool like telekinesis instead. She almost idolises people with Esper powers that she thinks are "cool", and struggles to hide her own gift from others. Most of her classmates have no idea what her power is because she refuses to demonstrate it. She often has nightmares about losing control of her powers and embarrassing herself by phasing through something in front of someone. She has no idea what her dream is, but she thinks she'd probably like to have a job as something other than a grocery store cashier. Secretly, she'd really like to be a librarian or something.
