Katarina finally managed to pop one scale off with the carving knife she was using. It took some real effort. Why would someone hunt something so hard to prepare for food? She sat down on the dragon and sighed. Maybe she was wrong. Something this big probably wasn't food anyways, maybe they were its food and it just wasn't prepared for such a tough fight. She checked her knife and realized that it was dulled just from prying away like she was and she frowned. She placed the knife back into her bag in its proper place making a note to sharpen it later. She then heard from the crowd:
"Miss Sable! Are you injured anywhere in particular? Or your friends of varying eccentric backgrounds? Also, is that your kid? I don't think I've ever seen someone try to eat a dragon before...I wonder if it tastes okay..."
She stood up and hopped off the dragon with ease. "Dragon! That's what it's called... weird. And she isn't my Mum. My Mum and Pa sent me exploring to learn about the world! I'm not a kid either. I'm seventeen. That makes me an adult!" She placed her hands on her hips and smiled proudly. Then her stomach grumbled and groaned, causing her to frown again. "And I'm hungry..." Carving up the dragon was a waste of effort and now that she thought of it; the dragon was probably really tough and chewy to eat too. Any huge alpha predator like that would have a lot of tough muscle. She'd have to try and find some food, unfortunately, she didn't know which plants were edible and hunting animals would be a fair amount of effort too.
