Harper smiled sheepishly at both Ace and Leon. He wasn't exactly the outgoing sort, but in Nowhere he understood that he needed to stop being a coward and take steps outside of his comfort zone. "It's really good to see new faces," he uttered, unsure about what to say next. "So far there are five of us, Hakuren, Jasper, Leila, Mado and I. There were a bit more us back then, but that's a story for another day." He chided himself mentally for letting what had happened kind of slip out through his words and ended up avoiding eye contact with the new comers. The others couldn't be dead...Nowhere was a magical, crazy place so maybe in the nick of time Emily had been saved by a giant flying rabbit or maybe the Celery God took pity on Numair and decided to whisk the surfer away to a land of broccoli and sunshine. Anything was possible, right? He wouldn't think of them as dead until he got proof!

"O-Oh, well, it's just...we didn't see any of you at the party and the guides didn't tell us anything about new humans." He paused to laugh nervously. "Well, not until we got to the lake, right, Jasper?" He needed someone to back him up, he felt absolutely out of his element, being the first to approach new comers. "Mhm, the past two weeks have been crazy, though I'm sure you guys have a lot to tell us about too. Have you guys been staying at the castle?" He finally asked before shrinking behind Hakuren and Jasper. The former was the who was better with words. Maybe he'd be nice enough to take over and use his people skills to be nice for once.

Then Ace asked about the investigation and the color drained from Harper's face. Did he have to tell her about the Siren? About the drowning that almost killed all of them. Serenade and the other nobodies were talking in hushed whispers not too far from where they were. Maybe he'd leave that to the guides. He didn't want to talk about it just yet.

"Did you guys hear about the living list?" He asked, as he fumbled with the collar of his shirt. His original clothes were hanging out to dry and he was in a white shirt, jeans and shoes. Harper was pretty plain, that was one thing people could say about him. "The second item on the list is a Siren's song...I think we have to find it." He was sugarcoating the current situation. He dug into his bag and held out the list towards Ace and Leon. The number one item, Essence of a Chaotic star had been crushed out from the list. Harper turned to look at Hakuren, Mado,Leila and Jasper even, hoping one of them would help explain the situation in a nonthreatening way.
