Penny Something still didn't seem quite right about Karn. She was more then sure that he couldn't have been in the blast that had sent them here, and....the nick names were all slightly off. It didn't make sense. None of it did. It was almost like...like this was someone who had known Karn well, and his tendencies to create nicknames for people, and took a chance on the names. But surely that couldn't be? Penny frowned, "Are you sure you are okay, Karn? It wasn't like this trip here was easy. I mean, I was so disorientated when I got here...What about the spider dog? She didn't seem to like you. I doubt she would have let you get close to Jacye to following him through. Did something happen to her, too?" Worrying about a damn dog, in the midst of all this? But then, she was just trying to figure it al out. And then she heard the shouts of the cannon being charged, and her eyes darted to it. So Jacye and Angelo hadn't managed to destroy it. "Hold on. I need to deal with this" She said quickly, stepping aside from the others, her flames danced across her skin, forming her Phoenix Shape, she shot into the air. Briefly, just as she rose in the air, 'Karn' and Mayt may have felt air that seemed very hot, dry and it may wash over their skin. She burned hot and bright, her flames the brightest red, the yellow as light as the sun, shining just as bright. And the air seemed to wavier with the heat she was putting off. She darted towards the cannon, her flames becoming hotter as she flew. She suddenly lost all shape, as her Flames expanded, almost seeming to explode around her, as she aimed to engulf the cannon in flames. Edo-Jamie Time had no meaning. All that matter was the next blow, the next block. And keeping Pen away from the magic filled Lacrima. For he kept on aiming for blows where the Lacrima were hidden in one of the Numerous pockets of Jamie's robes. Every time, Edo-Jamie deflected the blows. But the numerous blows that landed cut, tearing the robes, and cutting Edo-Jamie's skin, were taking their toll. Sooner or later, Edo-Jamie would succumb to the injuries. The question was, would it be before Pen did, or not? Edo-Jamie's members were out there, and those members from Earthland, were fighting. So Edo-Jamie would continue fighting. They had to. So the fighting continued, and Edo-Jamie scored more blows, managing still to protect the Lacrima. But too late, Edo-Jamie saw that Pen had been driving them back, against the wall. Their hip brushed against the wall, and Edo-Jamie twisted, to make sure one of the Lacrima did not smash. And Pen's next attack hit one of the others. it shattered, and for a few seconds, silence fell, almost deafeningly. And then flames spun around the room, scorching Edo-Jamie's skin, burning it badly. Edo-Jamie got of lighter, as the flames seemed to swim about the room, consuming anything in its path. Including Pen and The False king. Their screams filled the room, and Edo-Jamie knew it would be over. But then the flames died. The false king whimpered still, but Pen just gritted his teeth. Edo-Jamie suppressed a groan, but held their blade at the ready. Their robes were scorched, burned away, revealing a thin figure, that was both male, and feminine at the same time, still making it hard to tell if they were male or female, as a good majority of the robes still covered their body. What skin that was visible was reddened, painfully looking, burned, making it hard to stand on their leg leg, the hip, side and leg burned, blood dripping from where the shattered Lacrima had cut. Edo-Jamie quickly assessed their options. They were very limited. they couldn't fight much longer, and surely Pen couldn't, but as Edo-Jamie tried to step forwards to bring about a blow, the pain was unbearable in their injured leg. They cursed. As Pen managed to come towards them, there was only one option as Edo-Jamie saw it. Both hands went into different pockets, drawing out the Lacrima there, the sword clattering to the ground, and Edo-Jamie threw the two Lacrima towards Pen, two more quickly following. As the four crashed, and smashed, they mixed together. Edo-Jamie crouched, throwing their arms over their head, using the robes to help protect themselves against the magical blow. But when nothing happened after a moment or two, Edo-Jamie looked up, certain the Lacrima had been empty. Edo-Jamie didn't think anything could prepare them for what they saw. It seemed...almost like...Pen had been turned to stone. It seemed like an unnatural stone, as if it shined. Edo-Jamie rose cautiously, but nothing seemed to happen. They picked up their sword, and with pain and fury, swung it towards the frozen figure. It shattered into pieces, and Edo-Jamie turned towards the hurt, false King. "Do you want to go next, or shall you step down?" Their voice was cold, and the False King Shuddered. Master Jamie Master Jamie gave a dry chuckle, leaning back harder against the bar, allowing himself that small weakness. "We have already faced the magic Council. The official Announcement will be that Masahiko, a member on the council, asked for our help in evadicating the corrupt members on the council, to make Fiore a safer place for everyone. However, what really happened was that we stormed the council, on a whim, to search for information that may or may not have led us to a missing member. Capturing and taking down those that were corrupt was a side benefit, but it wasn't my main goal" She said. She watched as Minerva walked towards the Job board after opening the doors, and took a job without so much as a word. While Jamie knew the reasons Minerva had been absent for so long, it nevertheless would have been essential to speak to him. "Minerva" Jamie said, with a nod of her head, as if in greeting, watching as she walked away from the job board
