he entrance of Minerva, and her subsequent exchange with Jamie, went sadly unnoticed by Fleo. At the moment, she was engaging in a rather flighty conversation with Felix. The dusty woman found in the boy a companion with almost as much youthful enthusiasm as she, and the aimless chatting that resulted from this discovered swept across a plethora of subjects. Food, fellow guild members, weather, Magnolia, magic and more came and went quickly. Fleo knew that her talk with Felix held little base value, but she was simply glad to have someone to speak with to ease the tension. She suspected that Felix felt the same way; the entire guild had just gone through something extraordinary, and if a harmless chat could help alleviate the stress, Fleo was all in. Plus, she felt she was well on the way to earning herself a new friend. When Minerva approached, however, the conversation died off. Fleo watched, fiddling with her hair, as she confronted Damian. The coldness between them was plain to see, even if they hadn't been pointedly talking about why. Damian's brief mention of the fate of his parents touched Fleo despite the swordmaster's earlier callousness. If he was so quick to declare the cause of his strife, she could almost understand why he'd be impatient with the secrets of others. Her sympathies lay more, however, with Amaya. Though Fleo's powers of perception weren't as unfairly keen as certain others, she hazarded a guess that this woman was as new in Pheonix Wing as she was. She couldn't keep a smile from appearing on her face—a true kindred spirit! The pleasure of such a prospect was, in fact, enough to mask her displeasure that Damian had apparently changed his mind about sparring today, and would be glad to have Fleo 'next' after he finished with Minerva. “That's some ominous arrogance,” the dusty one breathed, too quietly to hear. Truth to be told, Fleo didn't relish fighting an S-class wizard, but win or lose, she'd be able to show her shine. Since it was going to be a few moments before her time in the spotlight came, Fleo spoke to Amaya. “Hiya! I'm new too! Fleo Plector, at your service!” She took a moment to think about how best to advance. People who said 'for my own reasons' weren't often extroverts. “Now, I don't want to seem too friendly, but given that we're both newbies here, maybe you'd like a chat?”
