[@Ellri] I don't see any good reasons to integrate with IRC even if it was technically feasible. The Guild's IRC has always been its own beast, and it will coexist with any system I build into the Guild.

I eventually plan to build a websocket chat system into the Guild with the ability to do things like create rooms and integrate with the forum in various ways and persist chat logs and allow chat log searches and more, and it still wouldn't obviate the function of the Guild's IRC. The IRC channel is something that sits on the edge of the Guild. It's a place you can hang out regardless of your situation here.
