When the group got to the sidewalk between the park and the city, a bus pulled up. The captain had called for it. 

Mikkish set his bag in a compartment on the side of the bus for anyone to put their bag. This included his book. He didn't like to be without it, and he hesitated when putting his bag away in the compartment. He couldn't shake the immense fear that it could be stolen. 

Mikkish walked on and sat in the back, slumping in the seat.

"Uh...no animals on board..." The bus driver awkwardly said, seeing David with his frozen tiger friend.
