Flying through the air, Glass glanced and surprisingly laughed out loud. "I've noticed some. You definitely have the speed and power to be a great martial artist, your technique just needs refinement. There are plenty of teachers who could show you the basics." The pair flew over a desert, where a power level could be felt, much higher than the ones surrounding it, but still significantly lower than Glass' or Vera's, if one could feel it.

"And it is outdated. Any warrior worth their salt can fly, and that includes the ones I considered." The Namekian sighed. "Except only the Saiyan boy has showed any interest in training under me, and that was at the behest of his grandfather. I'm not even sure if the boy at the Wandering Lake has considered me."

"Maybe he doesn't want to train to fight?" She had to wonder out load, after all her power was hardly a choice and it ended up forcing her into fighting. "So, why have you not trained him yet? The Son boy I mean." Flying down towards the sand, before they reached the power level, she reached out and started making marks as she was flying. This may be fun if this town had heard of the oh so scary cyborg as well, though to be fair the fear only came from because she did what she wanted most of the time... With that they had come up on the place where the power level was located. This was going to be interesting.

"That could be. I thought the child would at least come to see me though, but it just never happened." Glass watched as Vera approached the power level, following hesitantly. Nearby a small village stood, more a collection of dirt domes and capsule-like buildings than anything else, all of the buildings surrounding a small lake.

"I'm not sure about this, Vera." Looking around, the villagers finally noticed the strange new arrivals, some of the people approaching, though none were of the child. That energy seemed to stay within one of the buildings.

"Well, you wanted him to take notice of you right? Don't worry, I am sure a big green thing showing up on his doorstep is sure to turn heads." She crossed her hands, looking around at the people showing up to see them, though they were likely not that scary given what had come to earth before. One of the elders of the small town walked up towards the pair and addressed Glass, "Welcome. Though what brings you here Mr Glass?" Though Vera interrupted "To take your kids"

Glass' brow twitched, before he allowed his eyes to close in frustration. "No, I'm not here to take your kids. I've sensed one of your village children, who seems to have a great deal of potential. I was hoping to talk to him." By now the pair had drawn quite a crowd, and nearly a dozen men and women had now gathered around them. No children were yet present, however.

The village elder seemed to regain his composure after Vera's shocking revelation. "Would you be talking about Rin?"

Vera said nothing more for the time being, she was a little busy trying to clean herself up a little with the sand, it adsorbing the grease on her arms and face rather well, though while she was doing this a child lie shadow slowly peeked out from the building where the power level was coming from. "Which one would that be?" They were unsure of which one, since they had all of course scattered to their homes before hand. "You know, maybe you should simply state why you are here." Vera stated, brushing the sand from her form "After all this may have been a little soon" Her eyes turned to look at the dark figure in the window, who right away scrambled to hide from the scary lady.

"Rin? She's Phan's child, barely twelve years of age." Glass' eyes widened at the revelation. "You say she show's potential? We've known she was strong as a child, but we thought she would eventually go to the Crane School. You say you've taken an interest in her?" Noticing where Vera was glancing, Glass looked over to the building where he sensed ki, and saw a child scurrying away.

"You say she's only twelve? Her power is on a level similar to many adults of the Crane and Turtle School." Turning to the older man, Glass motioned towards the hut with his hand. "Has she ever had any training, or a tutor to teach her about energy? For a child to be as strong as her at this age, she's nothing short of a prodigy."

Stroking his beard, the elder shook his head. "No. I don't think she's ever had a teacher like that."

As the villagers continued to talk about how this was such a honer but also was making this choice for the girl right, a few clashes could be heard from within the house that soon tapered out as whatever it was come up to the door and started to open it. Peering back towards the door the first thing the villagers saw was a pair of headphones popping out of the building.

Glass raised an eyebrow as a young girl, maybe in her late tween years, stepped out into the village. Falling down to her shoulders, curly black hair complemented her darkly tanned skin, and a pair of headphones squished down the otherwise poofy hair. She wore a tan linen dress, along with a pair of sandals.

Feeling out, Glass could tell this was the child he had heard of. She was strong, though you couldn't tell by looking at her relatively tall, thin frame. Feeling an awkward silence coming on, the Namekian stepped forward, past the village elders, and offered his hand to the girl. "Hello, I'm the Guardian of the Earth. You can call me Glass."

The girl watched Glass come forward, her hand gripping the side of the door frame for a moment before she looked down to the green beings hand before reaching out to place her frail looking palm into his. The cyborg was at first disinterested in the little one at first, but the more brave she became the more Vera could not help but want to mess with them.

Jumping from her place she suddenly vanished, surprising a few people as she showed up not all that far from the two, though she did not get close enough to bother them. "Also, I am Vera. Future ruler of earth."

"So you are the guardian of earth?" The girl hadn't heard her clearly "I said I am Ver-," The girl did not wait "I am Rin. Is... Is it true what you said?"

Vera was glaring by this point, clearly ticked off as her artificial muscles tensed "Hey, hey, hey... Hey... Am I being ignored?" She said uncrossing her arms.

Smirking, Glass refused to acknowledge Vera and her antics, shaking the lithe girl's hand instead. "Yes, I am the Guardian. Everything I said is true. You have a great deal of potential, and if you wish, I'll be opening my home to any humans I think can become great warriors. That includes you, Rin." Looking up and around at the village, Glass saw the village peoples all watching, wondering what the girl's answer could be.

"You'll still be able to visit home, and there'll be some time off to have fun. That doesn't mean it won't be hard work, though. I can give you time to consider, if you'd like." Though the girl had seemed nervous before, the Namekian now saw a fire in her grey eyes.

"Don't you bloody ignore me"

Rin looked down for a moment, thinking about all the prospects that brought with it, all the chances... She peered back to her home, the family had not once come out to try and defend her or even pull her away from the choice, was that letting her do what she wanted? NO! None of that. turning back to Glass the lithe girl clenched her fists and nodded "Alright, I will do it... Is she included though?" She gestured towards Vera, who right away stepped up. "Oh, I know you are not talking about me. Because if you were I make sure that no one will want to write the report on your child abuse." the pair locked eyes, almost as if a battle of wills, if one would imagine they could see sparks fly!

"Hmm. I suppose I could at least try to keep her away from you, though as troublesome as she is I doubt it'll do much good.." Glass pondered, staring into the sky as the female pair were locked in a brutal stare down. Villagers fled as energy seemed to crackle between the pair. "No, I suppose the android just comes with the territory. You'll be able to meet lots of other people though, ones who aren't nearly as mean as Vera."

Just then, Glass got a mental message. 'Father, it appears that your message to New Namek has received a response. Should I read it to you, or will you want to read it by yourself when you return?' That was a surprise. After figuring in the time needed for messages to travel back and forth, as well as the time needed to talk to the different elders and recruit warriors, it should've taken another week before a response arrived.

'Very well. I'll return shortly, I'm just finishing my talks with a potential recruit.'

'Wait, father, what are you talking about?' His son's pleas were ignored as Glass turned back to the two feuding women.

While Glass had been busy with his own thing, Vera had flared her energy shield a little, blowing sand all over Rin who was standing there head to toe in fine sand. She started to grab fist fulls of the stuff to throw at Vera who flew up and around with her arms crossed, floating around avoiding the 'attacks'.

However the pair stopped as they noticed Glass looking their way... Floating down behind the girl she petted her on the head with a smile, though Rin was helpless to stop her as she frailed her arms around. "Friends see?" Her actions around this girl were very different from most others. Mainly because she would have kicked anyone else throguh a window or two for doing stuff like this.

"So, what was that about? Did you have a appointment to keep?"

"Yes, I have something I need to attend to quickly." Glass turned to the young girl, Rin. "If you'd like to come with me now, I can bring you. If you need a day or two to decide, though, I'll give you a way to contact me or one of my sons." Now he turned to Vera. "And don't even think about messing with her, Vera."

Crossing his arms, Glass looked back a Rin. "So, what'll it be?"

Rin peered down to the ground for a moment "I just need a day or two... I need to get my things together!" It seems she needed the time but her mind was made up on the spot, there was no choice in the matter for her that was for sure. Vera smiled happily as she heard the girls determination, however within that same moment she suddenly let go of the girls head, a rather worried look on her face for some reason as she walked past Glass.

"If you wont be needing me for whatever you had planned I will be heading back home. You can contact me easily enough." She had taken some CC equipment at one point so all he needed to do is follow the complaints or contact her on that. With that she started to slowly float into the air.

"Alright, Vera. I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon." Waving at the floating android, Glass turned to face the young girl, her face set in steel. "And for you, I'll be leaving a number that leads directly to the Lookout. Either my sons or Mister Popo will answer. Tell them the reason you're calling, and they'll come and get you, ok?"

The girl nodded her head, accepting a slip of paper from the Namekian before running away, back towards her house. Glass watched her for a moment before rising into the air himself, waving at the villagers before flying towards the Lookout, and after a brief flight, landed on the white stone tile of his home.

Sodius walked out to greet his father. "The message is waiting in your office, I believe Popo went to the liberty of preparing lemonade for you. I'm going to train with Master Yi." As he began to float off, Glass waved him off, smirking at the thought of their surprise when Rin would come. Walking towards his office, Glass thought about the program he would walk her through.

Sitting in down in his throne-like chair, Glass swung his computer over from where it was mounted, and opened the message lingering on his screen. The contents made him want to hang his head or fly to the planet himself.

'Dear Guardian of Earth,

We regret to inform you that the peoples of New Namek do not have the resources to send you a compliment of warriors, in accordance with the Old Treaties. Though we wish we could do so, New Namek is currently experiencing its own problems, and the majority of our warriors are occupied with their duties. The elders are unanimous in this matter. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.

The Elders of New Namek'

Glass reached over and took a sip of his lemonade, but the flavored water did little to calm his nerves. What could the Namekians be going through that they couldn't spare a compliment of warriors? Was there even an issue? Shaking his head, Glass stood without preparing his won reply, knowing it would do little good when the Elders put their heads together.

Instead, he left to do some training of his own, at one of the nearby abandoned islands. It would pay him well to let his anger go this way, in a blaze of righteous fury, no matter how ill directed.

The week would pass uneventful, the android unseen by all for the time being which many may have been thankful for, a uneasy peace starting to come over the world as if it was just the calm before the storm. However unknown to all; Vera had discovered someone she had been looking for a long time now, a smile crossing her face as she advanced towards the small house in the center of the forest, her hand gripping a map in her hand tightly, crushing it in her grasp. From within a large form emerged, both catching each others eyes.

As she had promised Rin had contacted Mister Popo three days after, her bags packed and her eyes full of determined fire as she waited outside of her village, many of the villagers and her own mother watching as she waited for someone to pick her up and take her to what they only knew as the lookout. This signeled the end of the very first week before the threat would reach their tiny little planet...

Flying on his magical carpet, Popo descended from the skies, towards the desert and its Wandering Lake. The genie wondered how he had been convinced to do this job, when he had so many more important things to do, but sighed as he continued his journey. The Guardian had asked him, after all, so he was obliged to do it. Apparently the Namekian felt a carpet ride would be safer and more magical than a quick flight up to the Lookout.

Popo landed at the village, where a young human stood outside, packed and waiting. "So, you're the genie that's supposed to pick me up? And on a flying carpet?"

Nodding, Popo beckoned for the girl to hop on, which she did hesitantly. "Don't worry, it's safer than it looks." With that, the pair rocketed off. Rin seemed to have her stomach in her throat at first, but before long she seemed to calm down and even enjoy the carpet ride.

Before long, the pair had arrived at the Lookout, the beautiful grounds kept up to Popo's exacting standards. Standing in wait for Rin, Glass watched the two land gracefully, the genie an old master with the carpet. Glass walked up to them, dismissing Popo quickly after seeing how anxious the djinn was, and began walking with the young girl, showing her around the Lookout.

"So, this will be your new home. What do you think?" Glass had been trying not to look at Rin too much, but given the chance, glanced down and gave her his full attention.

Seeming to consider it, Rin began to nod fiercely. "I like it. There's lots of room to run around, and the view is great. It sounds like there's a lot to do, too!"

"That there is." Glass chuckled at hearing the girl. Sensing two power levels approaching, Glass turned to see his two sons land, seemingly confused at seeing the girl. "Ahh, these are my two sons. The one on the left is Silic, and to the right is Sodius. Boys, this is Rin. She'll be living with us."

The pair seemed dumbfounded for a moment, but Silic seemed to recover quickly. "Er, father, this is kind of sudden. What are you doing bringing a human up to live in the Lookout? What do her parents even think?"

"Ah, Rin will be training with us. With the coming invasion and more threats seeming to be popping up by the day, you all will be on an accelerated training schedule." Glass nodded, satisfied with his answer. The two Namekians seemed to grow only more confused, however.

"But she's so much weaker than us! How can you expect her to catch up in less than two months?" Silic seemed to grow more agitated with his father, not understanding what his thoughts were. "You'll be sentencing her to death! Honestly, this is just a bad idea!"

Glass looked at the girl, who seemed a little frightened, but who also hardened under hearing their circumstances. "I think you'll be surprised, Silic. She will also be training with the Crane and Turtle Schools, I hope to get her at least to your current levels by the time we're through."

Though Silic seemed like he wanted to argue, Sodius grabbed his brother's shoulder. "Very well. We'll assist where we can, but we're more concerned with our own training. I'm sure you understand." Glass nodded, watching as his sons walked away, talking to one another under their breathes.

"Well then. I suppose it's time to begin your training." Taking the girl to the middle of their training grounds, Glass launched into a lecture about energy, demonstrating and then guiding Rin through what ki was and its applications. She picked it up fast.

"Wow! I'm flying!" Rin laughed as she hovered above the ground, floating dangerously side to side, before falling back to her feet. Stumbling, it was obvious the girl was tired after the fact.

Glass, catching the girl as she nearly fell, smiled at how easy she was as a student. "You'll build up endurance quickly. Go and rest, there's a room prepared for you just to the right, through the main doors. Continue with your flying, just don't go too high or off the edge of the Lookout yet. Popo will get you any food or drink."

Nodding, Rin walked off to her room, desperate for a nap and something to eat. Glass, knowing that she would be busy for the majority of the day, considered his options. 'Maybe another journey through the Pendulum Room?' Deciding that would be for the best, Glass walked into the Lookout, towards the ticking room. Deciding on a time and place, he stepped through.

Three weeks pasted while the warriors of the world trained their hardest to prepare themselves for the coming threat that seemed bigger than them all in scale.. Even so the word of one rogue android was not enough to convince everyone, leaving only the ones that respected Glass's word to stand up and be counted.

During this time Vera showed up several times again, each time to either claim tools, food or cloths for herself and of course each time charging it to the lookout. However, she also came to the sons of Glass, making sure their training of the new techniques was going well, after all they were going to be defending this rock too and she wanted them to be strong.

1 month Remains

----

Floating up to the lookout Vera settled down and peered around to check if anyone was around. She had finally come to ask for the room to be ready, though she felt like she was a little behind given how much time Glass had to use it to learn new things. "Hello?! Popo? Glass? Annoying Bug?" Annoying bug was the name she used to annoy Rin, and it was always so much fun to do so.

However a burst of power echoed from the distance, causing a smile to cross her face as finally her friend had managed to get their little project up and running. Even if she was not there to contain what was going to happen she had faith nothing really bad would go wrong... After all she was sure the people going to check it out were not weak.
