In his civilian identity, John is a somewhat short, hairy man with a mild beer belly and dark blue skin, a quirk that, he explains, comes from argyria he developed while working in a silver mine in his youth.
As Junkyard, he is a towering, idealized figure covered head-to-toe in armor made from miscellaneous metallic scrap.

[b]Powers:[/b] As the cobalt elemental, Junkyard has the abilities of being made entirely out of cobalt as well as total control over the cobalt that makes up his body. As such, he is able to align his structure into a powerful ferromagnet and manipulate his own magnetic field along with the magnetic fields of ferrous material his own field comes in contact with.

[b]Backstory:[/b]
John Jeffrey was a man of great heart and little talent working the graveyard shift at an industrial foundry, until one day, a freak industrial accident and poor compliance with OSHA regulations sent him tumbling into an open smelter! Amazingly, though, John didn't die- quite the opposite, in fact! Somehow, his body was transmuted into pure cobalt, granting him superhuman powers! Now thought dead, he skipped town to start a new life.
Now, during the day he lives his life as John Jeffrey, local junk dealer and eccentric. By night, he suits up in magnetized scrap and fights crime as the polar proponent of the people, Junkyard!
