Aura let out a pent-up breath. "Well, that could have been worse." she said, until she realized just how badly her sister's hair was floofing up. "Aria, calm down, calm down, we'll be fine. Fifteen minutes and then it will all be over." She smoothed Aria's hair down, giggling slightly even as her own fluffed up.
"But I was tall for a second! As long as my hair is I was almost average height, there for a moment!" Aria whispered, unable to mask the trembling in her voice as the boy locked eyes with her. Her own went very wide with fear and shock and she gasped, scrambling for something to say, anything to say in that moment, something to do with her hands to give her an excuse to look away. How long she sat like that she didn't know.
"Aria? Ari? Aaaari. Earth to Ari." Aura waved a hand in front of her sister's face and the spell was broken. Aria quickly averted her eyes. "I was [i]saying,[/i] you should try to eat something. You look like you're about to pass out. At least drink some water. We've got ten minutes and then we'll get some answers."
Aria picked up her water glass with trembling hands, only to sit bolt upright and nearly drop it as she heard the quiet question from behind her. She carefully set her water down and turned to Chloe, who was sitting behind them, and tried not to stare at the woman's brilliant green eyes. "Y-yes ma'am... E-everything's f-fine..." Even though she leaked enough hydrogen at that moment that the person sitting in the booth opposite them started coughing and hacking. Gritting her teeth she forced herself to calm down. Big deep breaths, contain the gas in a bubble of calm. The person across from her quit sounding like he was dying, though he still wheezed some. She opened her eyes and smiled a tad forcedly at Chloe. "I-I'm fine. I've just... just got a headache." A terribly lame excuse.
