Why thanks to me? D: What did I do this time!? D:
Because when I mentioned my idea for a Gym Leader, you mentioned Wendy O Williams, and I was like 'Eh, Wendy's a cool enough name. Let's go with that.'

Later, dude. Pokemon comes first!
I'll be able to do that in a couple hours... but not now XD

Now, I'm not Rune, so I can't really answer your question about whether you'd be able to play as a Gym Leader but not a trainer… but would you really want to? I mean, Gym Leaders don't tend to do all that much, because they've got their own battles to take care of, and we might not even get to your Gym for ages. xD
<Snipped quote by Nightmare Bunny>
But at the same time, Gym Leaders are not static and flat characters. In the anime and the game, it's frequent that you see the Gym Leaders wander around before you even get to the Gym, and a few even become temporary companions, either for the whole series or a part of it.
Also, there isn't really any rules to naming Gyms, but generally I like making it connect to their main Gym type, either directly or indirectly.

You are quite correct, Pizza, and I do have a few arcs already planned that could involve Gym Leaders, little encounters and stuff. However, that would mostly be up to the player playing them. However, the Gym Leaders are Gym Leaders for a reason. They are strong. Having them with a permanent team of newbie trainers, would just make any challenge they face way to easy.
Everything you have already suggested, I or Bunny have already taken into consideration in some manner. However, at the moment we are currently focused on getting everything started.
Now, I would appreciate it if you, someone who isn't even a part of this RP, stop telling me how to run my RP.

I had never mentioned that what the GMs are doing what is wrong, nor I am backseat moderating. I was adding suggestions that you may or may not have covered, and I haven't read every single page of OOC, especially with this much activity and the possibility of outside conversations (Skype chat, PM, etc.).
Please don't try to warp my posts as if I was trying to make an argument. I have never debated over anything your RP has done yet.
<Snipped quote by Stale Pizza>
You are throwing suggestions out into an RP that you're not even a part of, without have being asked. I think that's the definition of 'backseat moderating' Or backseat anything, really. Honestly, you shouldn't even be posting in this RP thread since you're not a part of it, as per guild rules. However, I decided that I'd let you stay, because hey, I'm a nice guy and I think we should all get along. Besides, I may have decided to open another spot if someone did in fact leave, and keep the number at 8 or 7, without waiting until it got bumped back down to 6, the original number.

I still post in the OOC because I have interest in the RP and I intend to apply for it when some people go inactive or leave as soon as the RP starts. (Honestly, I don't like "first come, first serve" styles, but that's another issue.) I can make my own RP, but it would easily conflict with the other Pokemon RPs that already exist in the Casual and Advanced section - that's what two RPs of the same video game / anime generally cause.
Also, backseat moderating is when any non-GM or non-mod member tries to deal with rule-breaking or some other offense by demonstrating moderation traits instead of reporting said conflict to the GM him/herself.

Look, dude. First of all, you can't just assume that any of us are going to just randomly drop out, because that's rude and quite frankly, offensive. You might not know this, but most of us know each other from another RP, and we're all quite consistent. That's not to say that someone won't drop out... but you can't sit here just hoping that someone's gonna leave.
Please, be respectful, okay?
@Ogobrogo
Say... You wouldnt be interested in the Phanpy as your starter and wouldnt mind if I called dibs, would you? :P
<Snipped quote by Zoldyck>
xD By all means. Nidoking is my bae, anyway.
<Snipped quote by Ogobrogo>
Ye... I didnt know which your fav was so I was guessing from the HA RP, you mentioning Donphan and such :P
T was but a mere joke :P
<Snipped quote by Zoldyck>
You smarmy little so-and-so. It's on! But I really don't mind. If no one picks phanpy, I'll pick up the little guy. That list has like, an entire team of my favorite pokemon, most of which can be found later. I'm set <3
-edit-
Youse gots somethings against Phanpys? Maybes I gots somethings againsts youse. Nice kneecap you gots there. Shames if somethings were to happens to its.
